The Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Hawaii

Post#1 » by High 5 » Mon Dec 3, 2007 2:30 am

Well, everyone else was doing one. :dontknow:

10-2 Georgia Bulldogs

12-0 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors

Georgia really doesn't have much to gain and everything to lose. I wanted to see Hawaii play a real team, but I never thought Georgia would be that team. Georgia has played offenses I think are as good or close to as good as Hawaii's (Florida, Kentucky, maybe Oklahoma State), but Hawaii hasn't seen a team like Georgia.

We should be able to dominate the ground game and keep their passing attack on the sidelines. Hopefully the defense we have seen the last 6 or so games shows up and we continue to make big plays.

Georgia has won 8 or their last 10 bowl games, but their last trip to the Sugar Bowl was a disappointing one. This is Hawaii's first BCS bowl and the biggest game in school history. The whole state of Hawaii is going crazy on this team. Should be exciting even if I don't like playing them.

I remember when we played Boise State a couple years ago. People were talking about them as a WAC team that deserves National attention. They loss 48-13. This Hawaii team is better than that Boise State team, but I think the result will be the same. Assuming our defense continues playing the way it has been playing I'm going to say Georgia wins about 35-21.

I gotta go with UGA on this one. Hawaii gives up a ton of points, so playing against a good offensive sec squad means a ton of points for UGA. The big question is whether uga's questionable defense can stop Colt. I think they can.

I'm thinking we'll see this celebration between Moreno and Brown a lot.

I like Georgia here. They are more balanced on both ends of the field, and should provide a real test for the flaming rainbowers.

I'm picking Hawaii in an upset. Their defense is underrated and I can see Georgia getting a little cocky.

I was going to pick Georgia until I saw the whole Rainbow thing. Man, Rainbow Warriors sounds mighty badass. I don't know if you can beat them.

That's what I worry about. I don't think it will happen after the WVU Sugar Bowl a couple years ago. Didn't seem like we took them serious until we were down 28-0. We just ran out of time in that game losing 38-35. We can't let Hawaii get out to a big lead.

Hawaii will get exposed and Georgia will win 45-28. Also early prediction, Georgia will play for National Championship next year, against OSU.

Georgia will be wearing the black jerseys.

Just over 22 thousand tickets have already been bought by Georgia fans.

He already is a stud!

A quick question: The little bones on the helmets or other small signs from other schools, what do they mean?!?

I hope Hawaii wins big in this game just so it will give the BCS more of a reason to vanish.
