Try it on the trade board, and see what non-Lakers think of Bynum and his contract.

Lakers organization, Laker players, their fans get alot of hate on realgm boards because of their succcess. So I wouldn't put a lot of stock in what you may read on trade board of the website called RealGM.com

I've tried to figure out the Laker's disconnect with reality on their players' trade values, and I've come to the conclusion that since they don't care about money, they think other teams don't care as well, and can drop $12.5 mil on a promising but inconsistent and oft-injured young center.

Wolves fans, try to get your heads around this thought. The Lakers spend so much money that their starting five puts them over the lux. I can't imagine there has ever been a team who could say that -- probably not even the knicks.

That's the thing, though, I get the feeling watching him play that Love would be terrible next to Pryzbilla for the same reasons that he plays terribly next to Hollins. Love needs to be next to a guy that can draw defenders away from the basket when they take shots. The vast majority of Love's offensive game is getting offensive rebounds for put backs, drawing fouls, and shooting jumpers when his defender is focused on someone else. Bynum has a good enough post game to exploit that as well being an inside presence on defense. Pryzbilla, and most bigs in the NBA, don't fit that mold.

I think Bynum still has a long way to go to being a #1 franchise center. However, I would love to have him here and think he and Love would actually be a pretty decent fit. Howhowever, Jefferson + Rubio is not a price I'm willing to pay to make that happen.

Without caring to look at salaries, how about a 3 way involving Hinrich + something going to LA, Bynum coming here and Jefferson going to Chicago? I know that something going to LA would have to be pretty good as Bynum has much better value than Hinrich, but just as a jumping off point? Hell even the Nets if the Lakers really liked Harris.

We trade Al & Rubio for Bynum and Hornets 2011 pick(top10 protected)

Lakers get Okafor and Rubio.

:wavefinger: Nooooooo, don't be sucker with the Lakers, they are rolling in money. It seems that you want Bynum ... well, forget Jefferson ... I suggest two options :

    - Love+$$$ x Bynum

    - Rubio x Bynum

But I'm not sure that the second option is good for the Wolves, because Bynum has a mosquito's brain and Lakers need more to Rubio than Wolves Bynum. Perhaps would be more righteous :

Rubio x Bynum+$$$$$$$$$$

Al would never get his usual production on the Lakers, NEVER. He should be 3rd fiddle on that team, Kobe got his shots(around 20), then comes Gasol. Jefferson would get the numbers that Bynum gets and would see his FG% go up due to playing next to better players in Brayant anf Gasol who draw all the attention and can pass tha ball. But Al is not nearly the physical presense on defense that Bynum is and wouldn't work for the Lakers, a guy like Okafor would fill that role much better.

Now, tell me what stops Bynum from putting Al's numbers playing for the Wolves, he would have all the shots he wanted, especially playing on last years Wolves under McHale and his system.

The obvious answer is that Bynum has nowhere near Al's ability to create his own offense, nor the work ethic to acquire those skills.

Bynum has more value than Jefferson, but the difference isn't even close to being Rubio.

Al Jefferson would be the key to the Lakers not getting smoked when Kobe sits out or is injured. You could run the offense thru him, clearly the Lakers don't even think about that with Bynum. Also Al is not likely to ever get in Jackson's doghouse like Bynum is in every other game. Some guys have "it" and some don't and Jefferson has way more "it", although I wish he had more!

I have a feeling Bynum would get killed on the wolves, he can not handle the physicality of being the #1 option. Al is much more durable when it comes to getting hit or pushed. Bynum would be a rag doll and teams would try to frustrate him that way.

Everyone should remember Aquintus' point here. This is why Al and Love do fit together and maybe why we should temper our "TRADE AL OMGZ THE WORLD IS OVERRRR".
