Beno Udrich

Jason Thompson
#2 Overall.

Why for the Cavs?

Cleveland takes on A LOT of bad contracts, but they get a huge jumpstart on rebuilding with hometown guy (Evan Turner) and they get a pretty good young big in Jason Thompson. Maybe they can ship out Nocioni for something? Overall, they tank for the next couple of seasons and use their cap space right before Evan Turner and company (other picks) come up for their extensions.

Why for the Kings?

Sacramento gives up the #2, but they clear out three of the worst contracts in the league AND they get a very good three man rotation in the front court. They are clearly set up for Tyreke Evans' team and are in much better shape capwise. If I am correct I believe this also leaves them with cap space for this summer.

I just don't understand what direct the Kings are going in and this clears a lot of bad contracts.
