tyreke

Post#1 » by sacking101 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:32 am

Tyreke seems to pick it up a level at the end of games which is great but he needs to do that the entire game. When he is more aggressive and in attack mode he is unstoppable either scoring or setting up guys. Most the time it is too late though. The difference between him and dwade is that Wade is in attack mode the entire game because he has too as well and miami wins games because of that.

He's only 20 and a rookie...and you KNOW he's tired from this season already. Let him get used to the long season first. Just think, next year, he'll have an entire NBA season under his belt and will only get better...watch out NBA 8-)

I know he is only 20 and i agree that he is tired. Age has not mattered so far and we know he is capable of taking over a game. I'm just saying in order for this team to win he needs to be more aggresive all game whether he is capable of that yet or not.

He is trying to not be a ball hog and get others involved. In the 4th quarter when he realizes nobody else wants to step up, he goes nuts. If he was really wanted to, he could get over 30 points a game easy.

How about giving him some more help? This guy cant win in some of your eyes. When he is aggressive, some of you say he is hogging, when he is getting others involved...he isn't in attack mode? ugh

Tyreke played off the ball for a portion of the game and it was a disaster! He should do whatever he wants with the ball except dribble into a shot clock violation like he did at the end of the 2nd.

Did you guys hear what Evans said after the game? After a Kings employee congratulated him on his career high 13 assists, Evans said he should have had 20. Love it. :D

I think he's referring to the fact that he got guys numerous open 3s and they were almost all missed... I think he's getting frustrated with his teammates.

haha, I'd like for him to at least not make it seem like he's stat hungry cuz that sorta puts down the teammates even though they were... wide open.

But I do agree, I began thinking to myself as well like "why does tyreke just kill at end of games?" always ends up too little too late. But at this point in the season, I would love for him to go all out from the tip to the final buzzer.

I think its known that he pretty much has the ROY locked up, but I would def love to see him reach that 20-5-5 milestone that only 3 other greats have. Gotta up the rebounding though and he's more than capable of doing so.

I feel like going to arco and punching some of those guys, you get wide open looks, you get paid millions of dollars and u cant hit it ?

Im hoping a off season of hard work can do these guys wonders but only if they want to put the work in.

Wait, isn't that what Kobe does? The only difference is that Kobe was a better supporting cast around him to keep the them in the game long enough for him to come back around and strike in the 4th quarter. Tyreke just doesn't yet have this luxury. However, longevity dictates that you pick and choose your spots to attack. It would be physically unwise to push yourself 100% for an entire game every single game for an 82 game season. Chances are, you won't make it to 82 games...
Suppose he overtaxes his body now and becomes the the next Tracy McGrady in only a few years?

Tyreke can't do it all by himself. We have some pieces on this team but we definitely need some more. Tyreke has some things he needs to work on, just like Lebron and Kobe did when they were 20, but if he had guys that could nail open j's that would be something he could rely on. I'm looking forward to this years draft and seeing how much he improves next year.
