The Lakers looked awful - they were throwing away passes into the stands. They were losing every rebound. They were allowing Grizzlies second chances and open shots. They could not execute inside or shoot outside. But somehow they come back. Technical fouls, jump balls and missed free throws. Ugh

Agreed.
We were in the game last night because of the Lakers horrible play (Ron Artest was atrocious for 3 quarters and Phil playing Jordan Farmar so much was a blessing) and because O.J. had a great game.
I'm not upset about last night's loss even though it was theres for the taking.
I'm more upset about the loss to the Heat on Friday. Hollins' inability to recognize that Randolph on Beasley was a complete mismatch is why we lost that game. Darrell Arthur would have been a better cover on a perimeter player like Beasley. Or even Rudy Gay.
We got some bad Tech's (Hollins) last night too. As far as O.J. and the final shot, I believe it was M.J. that said you miss a 100% of the shots u don't take. He got a decent look. Just didn't go in. And the missed free throws were huge.
Fact of the matter is, we are going to lose the majority of games like last night's because we don't have a guy that can create his own shot or get to the bucket.
Unless O.J. gets there, we won't. Because we know Rudy Gay won't ever develop that.
