clipps win ..good game but clipper nation i have good news u will love the new coach of the clipps ..guess who?

Byron Scott doesnt like Bdiddy and vice versa. Lucas would be nice, but he's hardly 'new'. I'd love to see v Gundy.

Any reputable coach will make me happy. Honestly, even though Sammy doesn't have a whole lot under his belt, I kinda want to see him get the spot. The man is just a great leader and a very respectable person.

My guess is it's John Lucas for the remainder of the season.

An upgrade is sorely needed. A good coach can make all the difference in the world. The players need someone they respect, but that is also going to hold them accountable.

So we should be expecting an announcement in the next few days? I expected Dunleavy to give Lebron the option to choose a coach as incentive to come here.

Don't you guys see? The new coach is Clipper Darrell himself.

LOL that would be pretty cool. But honestly does anyone know who it's going to be or when then announcement will happen?
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It has to be some one that LeBron would like/get along with. Who cares if Baron gets along with the guy or not. If its BScott, then its BScott. BDiddy will just have to deal with it.

I have a feeling it's Byron. Does he live in L.A. He was in studio on a local radio show the other day...

Is this true or is this just a ploy to spike our interest?

We should give Darrell a chance to coach few games. There is nothing we can lose.

But seriously, my guess is Sam Cassell

Well if they wanted to get us excited, I'd say they did their job. So I guess it means they already decided on someone? Can't wait to hear who it is.

My options:
1a. Byron Scott
1b. Avery Johnson

Both proven coaches. Both successful coaches (in the Western Conference, to add).

Now that I think about it, I could care less if Byron Scott gets along with Baron Davis. In fact, I could envision Baron being benched indefinitely if Byron Scott doesn't see him as a fitting piece and I'd be perfectly fine with that.

IIRC, the beef Mav fans had with Avery Johnson (if they had to choose) was the fact that he would draw out predictible offensive sets. I don't know, cause Dunleavy did too but who was more successful with their team?

I dunno about Cassell guys. He's a smart guy, but I just don't see it happening now. I'd say he needs more experience under his belt, but I could be wrong.

I thought everyone was in love w/ Kimmy?
I stated that we should never have hired him & voiced my thoughts after Game 1 that he should be fired.
Folks said that I was reacting like a Nuclear Plant & give the guy some time. So I guess about 14 days is enough time.

no one ever "loved" kim hughes. Everyone was just happy to have dunleavy step down, and honestly no one even cares about this season at this point. But now I guess it makes sense to dump him when the players finally get some practice time for his strategy while riding a two game winning streak eh?

Where is this rumour of a "New" coach coming from?
I don't like Hughes but, I have to agree w/ Pand..... why now? It makes absolutely no sense.

from clipperdarrell's twitter lol... I don't even know how reputable this news can even be since he's not even affiliated with the organization... Either way it's obvious hughes won't be around unless the team plays tremendously in the last 20+ games.

I was almost sure the front office quit on this season after they hired Hughes but maybe there is still some hope for the season after all. It's strange timing if the rumor is true. The Clips just started winning under Hughes, even though I would give the credit for the wins to the new acquisitions. I would just wait until the end of the season to hire a new coach though. Using the option for Lebron to be able to pick his coach would be good strategy.
