I don't know his aim since he's not saying much. I would think that the organization would wait until the offseason to bring in a new coach. It's better to have a fresh start/clean slate and it gives the guys something to get excited about. I just can't see them doing it during the season with 20 some odd games left.

Would it be better to hire a coach now so he can see which of our players he likes? If we strike out in free agency we're going to have to resign some of our own guys. It would be nice to have a new coach have some input on who he'd liked during the last quarter of the season.

If we have a chance to get Lebron, with the offer of he can choose his own coach, then we'll wait for it.
Even if it means we might lose the chance to sign some of the elite coaches, its a risk that is worth taking.
