Where did you get your stats from? The official nba site has them much different for Mayo.

You know what? I could have swore the title said Wizards/Grizzlies postgame vote. No wonder. It's my fault if I got it wrong. Too much partying here at the Olympics.

It's been pretty exciting actually. You don't really think that it will effect you but once the games begin you get caught up in it. There's hundreds of thousands of people in downtown and they close off the streets. The partying goes on a long time each night(I drag myself in at 4:30am).

Most of the larger participating countries have pavillions set up with bands, food, and plenty of beer. Irish House has been a favorite. So has Dutch House and the endless amount of Heiniken beer. Germany House thought that 25,000 kegs would be more than sufficient, but they ran out after only five days and had to fly in more from Germany. Their officials said they didn't realize Canadians drank so much beer(they only had to ask, we could have told them). I guess you could call it a Mardi Gras 24/7 for the entire time. The U.S. House though has been a closed door venue for VIP's and officials only. It's one of the only places not open to the public. The same for Socchi House(where the 2014 Winter Games will be held in Russia). I hear it is THE hot spot for those who can get in. Tons of free food, drinks, and I hear they flew in lots of young, good looking Russian women to make the atmosphere nice(if you know what I mean).

It's fun to meet people from all over the world and it's one big party. I kind of chuckled at one American journalist who was upset because he thought people were allowed to move about too freely and there should be a more visible security presence because of the notion that something could happen. We've done it the Canadian way with our different layers of secret service, swat teams, and armed personell all lying low in locations behind closed doors watching high tech cameras and monitoring it that way rather than being a more visible force. There are plenty of police with officers being flown in from across the country but they are quite good at staying aside and letting people have fun and only moving in when they have to.

I have to say that the American presence here is great. One thing that's obvious is that you support your athletes extremely well and there are lots of American flags and cheering at every single event. The U.S. is doing the best of every country and it's all in good fun with the Americans walking around our streets waiving flags and chanting USA while we outnumber them and try to drown them out with Go Canada Go.

All in all it's been a great experience. For the first week the weather was sunny and warm, which caused some problems with snow conditions, but now we're back to our normal rain and the snow is falling on the mountains, which is good. I haven't made it up to Whistler, but my buddies tell me it's a big party there as well.

The International Olympic committee has said they are surprised by how many people have turned up for both the events, with most of them sold out, to the never ending street parties(there's around 4 or 5 venues with outdoor stages with live music throughout the area).

Personally I''ve seen all kinds of celebrities, both in entertainment, sports, and politicians. I was waiting for my wife at the concession before the US/China womens hockey game and I noticed this group of big young guys all dressed up in dark suits and thought they looked out of place. I figured they must be some sort of ushers or something. When we went to sit down I glanced over a couple sections and saw that they were the secret service guys and that's when your vice president Joe Biden strolled in. He's been to a number of events but from what I can tell the hockey seems to be his favorite. Also saw Reggie Bush at the mens hockey game, just sitting in the stands like a regular customer. Michael Phelps has been all over the place checking out things.

All in all it's been kind of fun.
