Like it has been said before it's probably a win/win situation no matter who gets the team. If it's MJ he and LB can continue their, "Damn the torpedoes" style of management to continue to build for the present or if it's Postolos we'll probably have a more competant involved owner.

My biggets questions about him have to do with how he would run the basketball operations. Will he continue with what's been built or will he want to rebuild. I'm guessing he may be more inclined to see that the team is going no where of consequence as it's currently structured and try to start over. It doesn't mean that he will hire a GM/Scouting group any better than what we have now though.

The one thing I do keep hearing is fans mentioning Postolos would possibly bring a guy like Daryl Morey in to GM but do we really know that? Postolos left the Rockets in June of 2006. Morey was hired as Assistant GM on April 3, 2006 and promoted to GM May 10, 2007 when Carroll Dawson retired. So from that we gather that Postolos was at least with the Rockets when Morey was hired but to what level he pursued Morey and if it was for Morey's analytical methods we have no idea.

Postolos could know the Rockets advanced numbers metric that I keep hearing about, though, and bring that to Charlotte.

Bonnell said the sale is "super close", but we still haven't heard anything about it today. its already 10 PM

This was an interesting read from "The Meck Deck". Pure speculation, but I'd love an all-star team of owners.

Will MJ Help MJ Buy Out BJ?

Interesting. Magic Johnson nixes his dalliance with buying Ebony and Jet magazines just as Bob Johnson’s sale of the Bobcats comes down to the wire and doubts arise about Michael Jordan’s ability — or even willingness — to step up to buy the Bobcats.

Unlike Jordan, Magic does have a track record of outside investments doing well, as opposed to simple endorsement deals. And at the same time you know that David Stern would love to have Magic’s starpower hitched directly to the league — even more so when paired with Michael.

So I don’t know. I still think it comes down to Michael not wanting to be the guy in the organization. But the timing of Magic’s pullout gave me pause.
