Thabeet sent to d league after averaging 10mpg and 2ppg and 2rpg. Could ec be next?

EC is lucky to play 5 mins every four games. I would be all for sending him to the D league where he can get playing time to exercise his skills and shot but not sure Suns can afford to be without him right now for emergancies.

In re: Clark "hate" -- I don't hate Clark. I want him to be a valuable asset. However, I'm not the only one who has declared him to be a letdown at this point. After 40 games with 10mpg, I'd expect him to average more than 2ppg and 1rpg or whatever. He averages a half TO per 1RB. Lol. He hasn't shown flashes of brilliance, athleticism, hard-nosed defense, etc. By all accounts... and it's not just me saying it -- it's almost every sports columnist that covers the NBA... is that he's been a total and utter let down so far... basically... fail. But don't get me wrong... I'd love to eat crow and have EC55 be a bad ass mf'er. Reality is, he hasn't, and likely won't be anything more in his career than a 15 / 20 mpg roleplayer... and that's if he develops some defensive inclinations, because thus far, nobody wants a guy who will go in there and get lost on defensive assignments, get blocked, foul a lot, and make turnovers.

^Then why not just be quiet and wait to see how he really turns out? Maybe you'll get your chance... :D

If he can knock down three's at say 37% or so, he could turn into quite the legit role player. Dudley's game is try hard and shoot 3's and he manages to be a huge part of our team, despite weak lateral quickness and his hands being the only athletic body part he owns. Griffin's far more athletic, bulkier, and a pretty smart guy. He was doing pre-med in college, which has to mean something. I dunno. He could be a good 20 minute a night guy eventually if Kerr's right about his work ethic

I think Taylor could be a Lou Amundson type player if he works hard enough, if Lou leaves Taylor could eventually fill that role.

Your Zest for knocking Clark tends to tarnish your message. Stick to rating his performance, and be specific about your criticism. Save your salami-swammi assumptions about his future busting for next season. The kid hasn't clicked yet. Have this conversation this time next yr, and if things are the same, you might find yourself the leader of the choir.

Nobody needs to ignore you as there is little reason to read your post(s) for it is like beating a dead horse with a broken record. It is obvious... you really enjoy defending your 'Clark's a Bust' opinion. :sigh:

Nice. He was my favorite Sun, hands down.

By the way, I'm rooting for Griffin... but I saw him play many college games and honestly the whole crowd sighed whenever he touched the ball. He seemed confused, like he would start letting treys fly (and brick every one) then he would go exclusively to a post up game and get blocked.

He IS, however, a great hustle player. He had a few very nice put-back dunks and he got most of his points off of garbage type situations a la Marion.

Clark is not a bust. Not yet. He's a huge let-down however, and is definitely on the path towards being a bust.

I don't really consider him a let down, for I never expected anything out of him. Way too much hype went into this rookie from our fan-base..... I think most were just giddy to actually have a relatively touted rookie, and many forgot how hard it is to contribute the first yr, especially when you cant crack the rotation.... thanks to our SF depth with Hill, Duds, and even JRich

It makes no sense to clamor for a trade though. He is on a rookie deal with a team option soon enough. You need guys who make less than 2 mill on the roster, and he is certainly not taking a seat away from anyone at his price. He may not be contributing to your expectations, but he sure isn't hurting us. He is not Pat Burke, Jumaine Jones, Brian Grant, Paul Shirley, Pike or the surprising Sean Marks. All who wasted pine with absolutely no upside. When you draft for upside and potential, you run the risk of slow development. Perhaps next draft we will put more emphasis on BB IQ than raw untapped ability.

Be reasonable...
