Powe only played a few minutes last night but it appeared he was favoring one of his knees.

The Cavs aren't expecting anything major out of Powe until next season. He won't be waived but I wouldn't be surprised to see Darnell cut if they bring back Z. Depthwise 1-15 the Cavs have the deepest team in the league. Let's only hope Brown can figure out how to use the talents on this roster before the playoffs begin.

Powe was dragging that leg, but even in a few mins - you could tell the guy can play. For one he was establishing low block position easily and showed some nice footwork on that spin move. Also he was already drawing fouls which will be huge next to Lebron.

If he can strengthen that knee, I like him on the team next year and in the future.

Yeah, Powe is going nowhere. And I also agree that 1-15 the Cavs are the most depth of any team. That doesn't however necessarily transfer to success in the playoffs. Hopefully it works out for us though.

I was watching the game last night, and I was skeptical about A.V contract... And seeing him stick up for Lebron was... man... worth every penny.

Bosh got kneed in the groin, T.J got messed up by Horford, and everyone stood and watched.

Perkins gave a little attitude to LeBron and A.V put him in his place.

I would love to have him on the Raps.

And also, Powe is a warrior. He'll come back stronger than ever.

He provides a physical presence with the limited playing time he receives.. I like what he brings to the table after not playing since last May. There is no way he is going to be waived.

Not wanting to go off topic, but I expect for either Telfair or DJ to be waived if Z returns.. Definitely not Powe.

I hope Shaq is out for a while. If Powe gets 16 mpg for 8-10 games, he's gonna find his groove. If that happens, Mike Brown will have no choice but to give him minutes. I would absolutely prefer Powe over Hickson and even Z come playoff time.

The Cavs have to take it game by game with Powe to see how his knee responds.
It's obvious that he doesn't have much confidence in the knee because this takes alot of time.
He won't be going full tilt until next season.

When Z returns, the Cavs will have to cut someone. Telfair has a guaranteed contract next year and the Cavs front office likes him alot as well as Lebron, so he will stay.

So, Darnell Jackson is the player that will get cut. He has a non-guaranteed contract I believe. Two days ago at Erie, he put up 32 points and a bunch of rebounds. Some team will claim him off waivers immediately.

The only other player that could get waived is Jawad Williams. But it seems highly unlikely. They like his outside shot.

At PF, with Jamison, Hickson, Powe and even Andy who can play there, D-Block is the odd man out who is caught in a numbers situation - not because he can't play - just the situation. It will be good for Darnell b/c he will get playing time to the team that claims him and he wants to play badly.

Danny Green is here to stay (obvious) so no need to mention him.
