Great, a few more years of wasted draft picks and (Please Use More Appropriate Word) trades.

Pity, sounds like Postolos was the guy we needed: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2010/0 ... obcat.html

Why couldn't we get this article BEFORE the sale was finalized??

This will be successful if MJ is willing to do the things he needs to do... but I'm worried that he's going to be content with just owing a team (or being the figurehead of a llc that owns the majority of a team). Hopefully it's the change the Charlotte populace needed in order to embrace the team now. I have a lot of conservative family in the area and they all pretty much thought the team was a total joke, maybe now that MJ is involved, even if nothing changes, that perception will be different. Every poster with more than 1000 posts should get some free Jordans or something though.

We traded Okafor's large contract for Chandler to get more financial flexibility, but then, 4months later, out of a sudden we decide to trade Raja (expiring) and Radman (expiring in 2011) for Jax' 4 year contract? How are those decisions thought-out and "spot on"?

Wow! Based on reading what guys like Bill Simmons was saying I didn't think he would pull it off.

Good for MJ.

Let the new era begin - and the boys club continue!!

Okafor was a longer contract for weak/lame production, we were going to go no where with okafor, we would have still been a 20ish win team. despite losing expiring contracts we would have probably signed someone worse then Sjax with that cap space anyway so it was better to get someone that can contribute as well as Jax has been then just wait for the 2010 free agent class and get the scraps and still be losers as a team.

Sorry, back on topic:

I wonder how long before MJ makes a statement?

Wonder what his feelings are on going over the LT etc?

I am very happy for MJ. There are good thiings about his being the owner, and many have stated it well. There is also some concern as we have seen him make mistakes with Washington and Charlotte in the past. I hope he brings in at least a couple new people just for the sake of having a new set of eyes looking at things. We have done well with some things (some trades) and very poorly at a few more (some trades and most draft picks) I hope he becomes much more visible in Charlotte, at the games, etc...

in retrospect this also means larry brown is staying, which is also the best thing for this team,he is the reason we are playing as well as we are.Glad to see you buy the team MJ, now lets go sign larry hughes.

So you think Okafor's $51m over the next 4 years = Jackon's $27m over the next 3 years?

Ok. I will mail you $27 and you mail me $51.
