Question for you guys....

Hey,

Im a Raptors fan and love your team. Great fans and Oklahoma has really embraced the team. KD is an amazing player and I think Westbrook can be really special. I had a question for you guys. What happened to the Sonics forum when you guys got the team? Did it get deleted? Did you guys find that most of those guys left or did they also become fans of the Thunder?

The Sonics board is now a subforum of the Seattle Mariners baseball board. It's not active.

I can't speak for all Sonics fans, but most of them who I know do not support the Thunder, which is understandable. Some have sworn off the NBA entirely, others switched allegiances to another team (Portland, for one), and I know a few who just follow the NBA without any loyalties.

A surprising amount of Sonics fans who I knew still follow the Thunder enthusiastically..

Good summary slick

There was a transition period where the Sonics board was still open. I know that a lot of Sonics fans felt (understandably) slighted by everything that happened and either cheer against the Thunder or just don't cheer for any team in general. Obviously, some had built a bit of a bond with the young team that started developing in Seattle and have hung around to see the team turn into what it is now.

You absolutely destroyed us this game. Great game and you guys will be amazing if you get a legit big.

Thanks for the summary! Looked at the Sonics board and a lot of them seem pretty mad. Hope basketball goes back to Seattle!

THUNDER ARE STILL MY SONICS... IDC .... I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM AND ROOT FOR THEM.... BUT ITS NOT THE SAME AS IF THEY ARE IN SEATTLE....I USED TO WATCH BASKETBALL ALOT... WHEN THEY WERE HERE IN SEATTLE, I DONT REALLY WATCH NBA ANYMORE, ONLY A LITTLE BIT, GO SONICS!

I came with the Thunder from Seattle. I can't watch them unless the fans vote to see them on Tuesday nights. It sucks for me because the only way I get my information about how they are playing is from the comments on this board and ESPN highlights
