I hope a majority of this thread turns out to be a moot point, but i'll have one eye on the pats for the rest of the season. my eagles damn near ended that first statistic.

Moss and Brady are still on pace for the TD records, rating is still okay, but the completions took a huge hit. Pats didn't do anything special, but atleast they where still able to keep on pace against an elite defense.

Honestly I doubt the Pats are really going to "BLOW" out the Jets, I really do. Its not me being a homer at all, we just are going to play with pride in that game. We held the tandem of Romo/Owens in check, we held the Steelers in check and our defense is really coming along.
I dont think the Jets will win, but we will not get BLOWN out.

Or is it just a given they will average 22 ppg over the last 4?
If the cowboys average slightly over 40 points a game they could break it too. But I doubt that happens. Not that its out of the question given the remaining schedule (Detroit, Philly, Carolina, Washington) but I wouldnt say probable.
Id say Romo tying Mannings record is a slightly safer bet but again I dont think its exactly probable. He has 33 so hed need to average 4 a game. Over the last 5 weeks hes had 3,4,4,2,4
He should have had 5 last week but TO lateraled the ball to Al Harris for that interception.
If TO averages 150 yds a game he can break Jerry Rices single season receiving yards record. (Moss would need 180 per game for that)
Brady needs 29 completions per game to tie Rich Gannons record of 418 in a season. (Drew Brees would need 23.5 per game)

You guys lost to the Cowboys 34-3.

I guess so. However theres a few things you left out,
Romo threw 2 tds and had a 75% completion percentage, when youre up by that much theres not a lot of passing touchdown opportunities. (Not to mention a 102.5 qb rating really isnt bad by any means). And Romo banged up his hand in the first half.

Yeah but our team was flat, it was evident. Owens did not do his usual damage against us, Revis has been that impressive. Newman returned an interception on us and they had great field position all game long.

Barber had a great game against us no doubt. However Romo was taking what was given to him, we werent letting them beat us with the big plays. Its was like a Pennington efficient type game.
Washington had a killer fumble, Clemens had a killer interception. Bottom line is that they man handled us in that game, but we look different now.

Also, touchdowns by a team in a season
Pats: 59
1984 Dolphins: 70
I'd love to see how the Pats compare to some of the other top offenses in terms of "% of total points score in the NFL this season" or some other statistic that compensates for the quality, and/or lack thereof, of defenses in different eras.

Pats are still going to play the Jets and Dolphins
anyway, the Pats don't need to blow out the Jets, at worst they just need to stay on pace, 2TDs for Brady and 1TD for Moss.... that sounds reasonable for any team NE has to face.
but aren't the Jets starting a rookie QB? you don't think Belichick is salivating over that match up? and aren't the Jets going to play at NE?

Huge game for Brady, 4 TDs, two of them going to Moss. rating still looks good, but the completions is a big concern. Brady is going to have to get some 80% games if he wants to get that.
....... Dolphins are just two weeks away!

Brady did it in an open stadium, but he knew exactly what he had to get to break the record. More TDs, more Yards, less INTs, more attempts and better completion percentage.
Manning did it in a dome, but didnt hav the benefit of breaking his own record (also had less oppertunities based on coaching philosophies). He still has the highest QB rating ever.
