Favre Named SI Sportsman of the Year

Post#1 » by SugarRay34 » Tue Dec 4, 2007 5:53 am

Pretty nice. 10 page article on the front cover of SI. Only the 4th QB ever to win the award. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/m ... ml?eref=T1

Very well deserved. Probably about 10 years later than it should have been.

congrats, Brett.

I was surprised that he hadn't won the award before. Who won in 96?

After reading the headline, I was shocked that he hadn't already won it. Here's to Tom Brady snapping his leg in half and Lorenzo winning his 4th MVP.

After last Thursday he has probably slipped behind Romo...at least.

But congrats to Favre, what a great honor.....sort of unexpected.

Thats very cool. Man I started getting emotional reading that article. I do remember Majkowski for a few years but nothing before him really so Favre is my guy. I swear I am going to cry when Favre retires and I never ever cry. I love that guy.

Congrats Brett, well deserved.

I encourage all of you to read the article. It's excellent. Also Peter King's column on the back page about Favre.
