148 (24th) 71 (22nd) 84 (22nd) 69 (6th) 28 (23rd)

The Suns have returned to their freewheeling style and are once again a factor in the West, with 36-year-old point guard Steve Nash still playing a very high level and Amare Stoudemire still an All-Star. That said, we remain pessimistic about their long-term future.
Suns: 20

The core of the roster is aging, and Stoudemire can leave as a free agent as early as this summer, as can Channing Frye. Youngsters Robin Lopez and Goran Dragic have shown improvement, but lottery pick Earl Clark has shown nothing. Furthermore, the Suns won't have a first-round draft pick this season, having given it up to the Thunder even before the team moved to Oklahoma City.

The Suns remain a lot of fun to watch, but for how long can they really compete? Given the concerns about the future of the roster and our doubts about management's willingness and ability to spend the money necessary to get the Suns back to the top, we aren't optimistic.
The Phoenix Suns - 54-28. Projected Record: 54-28 3rd Seed

The Phoenix Suns - 2010-2011 Projected Record: 30-52 3rd lottery pick.

EC totally owned. I think a core of Amare, Barbs, Nash, Lopez, Dragic, etc is strong. Nash has shown no signs of slowing down and I think that Amare will re-sign.

I'm guessing they got 6th in the market? At least they didn't get below 25 in anything else though...

Don't sound so happy about it. We want Earl to succeed.

I want EC to succeed too, but it feels nice being vindicated in my criticism of Clark.

Here's to hoping he succeeds and can help us contend though!

to be vindicated in YOUR criticism of Clark, someone will need to write a whole article bashing him, the Suns for ever drafting him and suggesting that while it has never happened before, we trade a lottery pick in his rookie season

LOL

wow man, you really went out on a limb criticizing our rookie. Good thing the analysts vindicated you, im sure you felt so alone explaining how a rookie with 30 minutes of playing time is not performing to expectations. Your foresight is impeccable. Continue patting yourself on the back for calling out a 22 year old for not playing like a veteran his rookie year.

Have you ever considered scouting as a profession?

I'd believe that you want Clark to succeed if you didnt get such a hard on from putting him down. Embrace the H8!

Guys, it's not my fault EC is a bad basketball player. It's his. If he develops one day, that's another thing -- but for now, I am right, and have been right -- and NBA analysts agree with me -- and honestly I bet most of the Suns players wish he'd contribute a little more too...

It's not fail logic. I said, the guy has been a piss-poor player in almost every single game he's played in. It's true. Nothing can change that. I do not think it will last forever. He may get better, but he will never be a "key" piece to a team -- he'll be a roleplayer at best -- 15 to 20 minutes a game -- nothing more. And that's only if he shows he can defend people, cuz he doesn't seem to have an offensive propensity.

Dragic was different because we needed him and he wasn't performing to expectations even though he had steady minutes. Clark is a little different, we have no need for him now or long-term, but despite being given minutes he has failed to perform in more than 1 game...

Like I said, I WANT EC to be good, I hope he does... I'll gladly eat crow. Frankly though, I don't think the kid is an NBA caliber player. With some folks, you just can tell. I think EC is one of them though. He hasn't showed, talent, promise, or anything else you EC fanbois grasp on to.

EC needs to work on his attitude. That might be a reason he's not getting PT. DJ Strawberry got more time under Mike D for God's sake!

even at the beginning of the year they projected his PER would raise the most out of everyone because "it's hard not to improve on how much he brought last year: nothing"

Nope. You guys are the ones who are trolls... you act like EC is good when he's not. What's more trolling than lying?

I mean feel free to point out where I'm wrong, or how I'm lying about something... but you can't.
