Re: Finley
Finley is terrible. 31% from 3pt range 38% FG....thats not even worth the vets minimum. Id rather sign someone from the D league that has some fresh legs.

I will say I'm shocked they waived him. Finley, Oberto, and Bowen gone. More signs that the Parker/Duncan/Ginobilli era is almost over.
A little late to help us though ....

Re: Finley
I like Finley but I don't see how he fits any real need here. For one, that guy is ancient, the last thing we need is another old guy. We also already have a fair bit of depth at the SF spot with Hill and Dudley. It'll be funny to watch Hill, Nash and Finley on the same court though, oldest back court in NBA history.

Re: Finley
I would like Finley because he is clutch and has pretty good basketball IQ. His career free throw shooting is above 80% and he still has a solid three point shot. Though, this season he looks pretty rusty, I'm sure the Suns training staff could polish him up a bit. We could also use his veteran leadership, and I'd much rather the Suns get him than the Mavs try and stack their team even more.

please, elaborate.
It was during the time When Finley was still on the Mavs and they played a preseason game against the Suns when I was at a barmitzvah party at a Hotel. So i saw Finley, Notwitzki and etc there and I came up to Finley and asked nice for his autograph and he replied by saying " That will be $20 or $30 bucks and I looked at him and said I dont have that much with me and he just stared away and proceeded talking to one of his teamates. Ever since that moment I haven't really liked him as a person.

Re: Finley
A lot of players hate signing autographs cause they think people use it to make money off of them. Ebay ect..
Still he could of just said I'm sorry, no. Charging someone for your autograph is ridiculous.
I always prefer giving a handshake and a small hello myself whenever meeting an athlete.

Re: Finley
I never ask for an autograph when I meet players. And I've met a ton of players when I used to work at Best Buy in Phoenix. All the players would come in there. I met Jalen Rose, Leandro Barbosa, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson (when he was with the Hawks), Kurt Thomas, James Jones, Lebron James, and plenty more. A simple handshake is all I give.

Michael Finley is a very solid all around player, he isn't putting up huge stats simply cause the Spurs have sort of.. brainwashed him. He was a pretty good driver earlier in his career, but after he join the Spurs all that seemed to changed, yes I'd like to have him on the Suns.

Re: Finley
I'd rather the Suns get Finley just to have him. I think the Mavs will try and make a run for him.

Spurs sort of brainwashed him?

Nothing the fact that he is probably in his last stages of his career? He is 37 years old who has more mileage on his legs than anybody in this league. He can't put up huge stats even if he wants to. At this point of his career, he was best suited for the role Spurs gave him and he has been terrible from behind the arc.
I Dont wanna be here
