McGee's minutes and his production BOTH should be considered. The guy might have had 20/10/7 if he played 38 minutes.

I think 25 minutes for McGee is generally fine. I'm ecstatic he FINALLY is ahead of Oberto in the lineup (even though he never should have been planted on the bench behind him the first 40 games).

However, I see that Andray scores a lot easier when McGee is in the game. (Okay, so does the other team.) I think Flip going away from Blatche/McGee THIS GAME was not good.

I do not think 22-28 minutes for McGee makes sense when Singleton's more active but the team's losing big time with him in the froncourt. Ilysova burned him badly, too, but Flip leaves him in.

I'm done on this, but I feel like most of the time I argue a point on this web site it really doesn't matter.

You lose credibilty when you only go by stats and you incessantly slam Flip. You have to watch the game to get a complete analysis of McGee and Young. At this point, though, I can care less as long as they get some minutes. We need a high draft pick, PERIOD.

At the same time, I'm proud that I saved money not buying league pass and that I only since the trade started following the game scores and radio broadcasts again!

I'm slamming Flip based on stats from the year and wins and losses. I've been on him since November, when I was watching the games and when he had his former players. I see patterns in lineups (short bench) that tend to coincide with losses. Conversely, when Flip coaches another way (lots of players) he tends to do better.

I can slam Flip for preferring Ross over Young, without watching a game. For Nick to defend Wade and Billups well but to get 3:44 and a guy like Ross get 5 times as many minutes is on Flip.

So, 80s, you're absolutely right about me not watching.

- Ross has taken over for Stevenson in the role of worst offensive shooting guard ever. He should not be playing.

- As well as Blatche has been shooting, he's got to turn around the to's and assists. As much as he's been controlling the offense and as skilled a passer he is, he should be getting at least 4 assists every game. There's no reason to freeze Thornton and Miller out of the offense.

- Aside from not showing good awareness in getting 2 of his drives blocked on consecutive possessions, I was pleasantly surprised by Livingston. Physically, he looks fine. I hope they keep him around for another 10 day contract.

- The game wasn't as close as the final score. The Wiz played poorly at both ends. I got the feeling that Salmons and Bogut could have scored a lot more, and the Bux bench played so much better than the Wiz bench.

Billups put up 28 points on us shooting 60%. Nick had one key defensive stop. You can't judge someone off of one play. Heck, the guy gives up a 17.5 PER to opposing SGs

I've never seen a shooter that needed to be told to shoot the **** rock. This guy is really starting to piss me off. I sure as hell hope we aren't going to entertain resigning this guy.

This is on Flip, MM should not be a fricken point guard looking to make assists. Tell MM to STOP passing-up open looks, pass when it is wise to pass. MM has really exposed himself as a guy that really can't create a shot for himself and he only feels comfortable shooting when he's at a spot that he likes and he has plenty of time to shoot-it.

That one game (that I did watch BTW ) where he outplayed Dwayne Wade at both ends showed me something about Nick Young. He defended better than Stevenson's capable of defending. Much better than Hughes ever did in at least a dozen games against Wade.

Nick is capable of defending.

He hit a key shot late (on an assist from McGee) to tie a game late in OT against the Knicks.

I'm not a Nick Young fan boy. In truth, I booed on draft night that I thought he'd lack intelligence and would be just a shooter. I also graded McGee an F on draft night because I thought his college stats showed him to be a terrible defender and not really a consistent scorer. HAVING SAID THAT ABOUT BOTH PLAYERS, I see my observations had some truth. HOWEVER, I see some good things about both players. McGee is way better than I thought.

As far as Young goes, there are better SGs. I just hate the way Flip disrespects the kid. Young getting 3:44 when Ross just comes on board shows me Flip has a Trenton Hassell/DeShawn/Ross mindset that sees terrible offensive players at SG as his preference.

Nick Young MUST BE TRADED this offseason, IMO. Flip's not his coach.
