Per several sources including Adam Schefter.

Bears are in desperation mode. Hopefully this works out.

It's amazing. One of my teams is spending money like they're the Yankees. I think I'm going to cry.

Barring any complications in Chicago, the Julius Peppers deal gets done and announced with the Bears by Friday afternoon.

Free agent TE Brandon Manumaleuna is scheduled to visit the Bears' Halas Hall facility on Friday.
The Bears are going to have a full house, with Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor also in town. Baltimore was thought to be in the Manumaleuna bidding earlier on Thursday, but the Bears appear poised to offer him more money. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Manumaleuna and Chicago are talking "big money," and that the deal may be "the surprise of free agency." roto

That he can get back to his old self or we could be great?

I highly doubt he can get back to his old self but in the event that he does, we'll have 3 very good pass rushers in Alex Brown, Peppers, and Harris. Takes a lot of pressure off the secondary.

So do the Bears flip Olsen for a draft pick or a WR now? Martz's system doesn't utilize the TE and Olsen still has a lot of value.

Of course, Berrian was the Bears' top receiver and Taylor is a complementary back to Adrian Peterson. But he could be a starting running back for the Bears and one league source told the Tribune that his agent is angling for a contract with $8 million guaranteed for the 30-year-old back who ran for 1,200 yards in 2006 before Minnesota drafted Peterson.

Julius Peppers will visit the Bears on Friday but if he does not reach an agreement on a contract he will head to Philadelphia to meet with the Eagles according to Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette. http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/david-k ... go-sports/

At the beginning of FA speculation if someone told me the Bears were front runners for Peppers I would laugh. If we can get Peppers, CB and a backup RB in FA we can focus on OL, S for the draft.

Let's get it done people. My ideal(unrealistic as possible) off season was
Sign Peppers
Sign Taylor
Sign Antrel Rolle
Sign Dunta Robison
Trade 3rdround and another pick in 2011 for Anquan Boldin
Draft Myron Rolle with 4th round pick.

But I will ABSOLUTELY settle for just signing Peppers.

Bears will sign Brandon Manumaleuna today, which very much means the end of Greg Olsen as a Bear. He could be gone by the end of the weekend.

I was up sitting in my bed lastnight wondering if it was worth it to check out what happened to NFL FA. I went to bed.

I wake up this morning and all of a sudden the Bears are throwing around cash like the Steinbrenners.
