Numbers don't always tell the story. He could have put up the same numbers tonight but had timely baskets, hustled his a** off, & just been all over the damn place & I would have been fine with that. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Bynum has had very few games where I can safely say "It's not his fault the game didn't turn out the way it did". At the beginning of the year we expect Bynum to live up to his contract and be the stopper in the paint. That hasn't happened, and worse, his rebounding has been lacking even when he's playing in Gasol's absence. Gasol in the very least has played at a high level earlier in the season. True, he's been bad in the past two months, but so has Bynum for the most part. If you are going to call out a player because they are playing awful, then you should do so for players other than Pau. If you are still going to single out Pau because you like to run a personal agenda to defend Kobe from Pau's comment on touches then there is nothing else to say.

Bi-focal'ed for your enjoyment. This is a flat out lie. Bynum was headed to the All-Start team before Pau's return.

No i'm calling you out for always singling out Drew.

The game is over, so it's time to talk about why and how to fix it. That's what we've done. We lost because Pau played like a 3 year old with down syndrome, and the way to fix it is to shut his trap and go show Kobe he deserves the ball. Not just bitch about it.

You have discussed nothing. You just like to complain about Pau for a comment he made two months ago because you're hurt that Kobe is being challenged.

If you're so upset or offended by what is being discussed, then just leave and go post somewhere else. You don't have to read it. It's being said, so deal with it.

If I was posting nothing, why do such respectable posters like Ankle and Deep consistently back up my points??????????????

He was slated to make the allstar game because he could score, not because he averaged 9 rebounds without Gasol. Even with his dumb plays lately I don't question he can score, I question his ability to play defense and rebound. And to be fair, Gasol also need to be held accountable on that end also because he's not fueling our offense anymore.

Microfib, you are wrong! Drew & Bosh were the only 2 guys in the league averaging 20 & 10. Also Bynum was the 3rd leading rebounder in the league at that time. Also have you not noticed he is throwing up double doubles with Pau in the line up now? Get your facts straight before you hate.

Ya'll are funny.

One thing I've noticed is that it's hard to PROVE good defense.

It's difficult for one guy to prove to another that a player is playing good defense or bad defense.

Ya'll need an online interactive tape session to really prove your points.

Kobe could not stay with Rondo... play off him and give him a shot? Yes... anyoen can. But be real, no way he's sticking with Rondo.

DubaLakers wrote:Home cookin' tonight. Kobe charged, but other than that some bad calls down the stretch. I also love how scrubs always have career games vs. us. I realize that's a mix of two things everyone gets up for the LAL, and the Lakers focus D on superstars and make the scrubs beat them. Arroyo & Richardson season highs this evening. Kobe shot for three hours today before the game, his stroke was back. LAL lost, but a good game I enjoyed it, but I was also at a bar and threw back some pops that helped.

Heat fan here. To be fair, in order to beat you we need other guys not named Dwyane Wade to step up too and on our current squad, it can just be a scrub. Don't tell anybody I said that...
Good game between our teams though, finally could close one out against one of the best teams in the league. You guys aren't the only ones who closed out a game against us on a miracle play so it feels good to finally finally get a W. :D
Good luck for the rest of the season though, I think except for the Nuggets nobody can really challenge your team in the West.

Btw I blame Bynum.
Wasn't part of the 15-5 finish and Phil shouldve stuck with that group in OT. Actually, I blame Phil.

When that pass from Kobe in O.T rolled of his fingers I knew that was game.

Also is there such a freakin call like "Moving screen" In the NBA, cause I could swear I saw well over 5 plays in O.T by Aroya, J.O and Q.R that the freakin reffs didnt call. Did you guys see that pick Arroya put on Fish that he was hopping right to left everytime Fish tried to fight through the pick. How the hell they didnt call that.

UNFREAKIN BELIEVABLE.

Fisher is one of my fovorite players/people in the NBA, but he's pretty much useless now... I haven't said anything real bad about him until now but he really can't do much of anything anymore.

He doesn't bring the ball down, he doesn't run the offense real well because he can't pass out of traps, and he's just slow... Slow of foot, slow to react, and slow on D...

I blame him and Phil... He's done and he and Phil and the FO need to face that.
The problem is, Farmar and Brown aren't the right replacement for him. Farmar needs another system, and Brown is a Bench player on a contender.

Then there's Bynum/Pau/Odom... How do they get out-hustled/muscled by Haslem/Oniel etc?

I think part of the reason for that was that we weren't feeding the paint as well as we could have... Pau and Bynum should have had more touches IMO.

So we pretty much played poorly as a team. It was nice to finally see Kobe heat up though.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...

They did call a moving screen on J. Oneal where Artest flops.

Kobe was ever much to blame for the lost too. Letting Q light it up all night was embarrassing to watch.

Most/Some game plans are set up for roll players to beat you, not the super star. So Q being hot is just what it is. Phil would draw up the same game plan every time. Game plan being, do not let D-Wade go off. Its kinda like another team game planning to stop Kobe...and they succeed, the only problem is Sasha goes off for 30. Teams would be satisfied with that all day because the odds are slim and none.
