Why do the Hawks play so stupid vs. teams like GS and NY? They have a team full of wing players out there. Go inside on offense and stop leaving shooters open to help on guys like CJ Watson. It's the 4th quarter already and they are still guarding this guy Tolliver like he's Desanga Diop or something.

Smith constantly leaving to help off Tolliver is annoying. It's like they are just assuming that he can't hit wide open jumpshots for some reason.

The Hawks guards need to start looking to get rebounds. JJ, Bibby and Crawford have only 5 combined. Curry has that many by himself.

Alot of dumb fouls by both teams in the 4th. I'm not even sure why Smith tried to contest the shot..you're up by 5 points.

The Hawks should be really thankful that most of the teams in the 5-9 bracket have mediocre to bad point guards. Chicago would be the exception but we match up well from the 2 to the 5.

Joe's GOT to be sick, that's the only way to explain the stupid game he had. He made more bad decisions tonight than he'll make in 10 games.

And, once again, our 6th option makes good when he gets the chances. Marvelous deserves an "atta-boy" for another good game.

Kudos to Woodson for learning to keep Bibby on a short leash in the 4th: when he's not hitting 3's, he's dead weight.

Smoove is becoming unstoppable. Horford was a man tonight, as well.

Man, I'd love to have Curry. Think GS would trade him for Teague? (jk, jk)

Another lackluster victory. Wake me up when we have to play a team that forces us to perform at a high level.

Great games by Bibby, Josh, and Al. Very good game by Marvin (3 in a row?). Don't give Woodson too much credit for taking Bibby out, I believe it was just because of his 5 fouls that he put in Marvin as a defensive replacement. Horrible games for Joe and Jamal (after 3 quarters they had as many FG between them as Jeff Teague), but at least they woke up some in the 4th.

Game ball to Mario. If he hadn't broke Steph Curry's momentum he likely would have broken 50 points. I'm biased because about a minute before he went him I told the guys on my row that we needed to him in the game to mess with Curry and that it was worth the risk on the offensive end to do it. It didn't really affect the score greatly at the time (he was +1) but it forced GSW to find other people to shoot and it did appear to frustrate Curry a bit to have a defender trying to get inside his jersey.

Note to Joe: a 6 ft jumper from you at the edge of the lane over a smaller man is a better shot than an open jumper from Josh from 18-20 feet on the side. When you make that pass with under 5 seconds on the shot clock rather than shoot it you are reducing the chances of success on the play greatly.

Observation on why we have so much trouble with the Warriors. We wander too much on D to try get steals, help out, or double. They have too many good jump shooters and we give them too many good looks by not staying with the man. If you force them to beat you off the dribble and don't help you'll give up some circus shots to Curry and some fouls on Maggette drives, but those happen anyway. Tolliver and Morrow only hurt you when you enable them.

I wonder if the Warriors do a better job of scouting the D-League or if it's just their system. Tolliver is way more athletic and skilled than Jason Collins(which isn't saying much).

^^^ Nelson's offense first system is more friendly to D-League guys. He also loves the underdog and will give them a chance. Woodson is almost the opposite.

Collins wasn't signed for his athleticism. He was brought in to another big body when we face Dwight Howard or Shaq. I just don't think they realized how little he has in tank. I wouldn't expect to see much from him until the playoffs and only then to bang for a few minutes and save Horford some fouls. Then again he's so slow that he may not see the court at all.

Bibby's 3's was the difference. Without him, Hawks were doomed.
