OKC Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers (03/05)

Post#1 » by donemilio21 » Fri Mar 5, 2010 7:44 pm

Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
When: 7.30 PM PST
TV: FSN Prime Ticket
Previous Meetings:
* 11/11 - OKC 83 @ LAC 79
* 11/15 - LAC 101 @ OKC 93

The Thunder try to avoid their third straight road loss Friday when they face a Clippers team that’s dropped three of four. The Thunder will also be looking to bounce back from a 119-90 loss at Denver on Wednesday. “This is a wake-up game,” Kevin Durant(notes) said after scoring 19 points to snap his streak of 33 straight games with at least 20. “You are going to have games like this. You have to think about what we did, move on and make the adjustments we need to make for our next game.”

And Clippers are coming from a blow-out loss to Suns which we all watched in serious pain. Baron has not been as effective with his shot recently - hitting 32.2 percent in his last eight games - and the Clippers point guard will face a Thunder defense that is among the best in the NBA, holding teams to 44.0 percent shooting not to mention playing against another former UCLA standout in Russell Westbrook.
Eric Gordon will play against Thunder for the first time this season.

Thank God for Smith. 5 straight for him.

Nice 2 handed slam by EJ.

31-21 OKC after 1. Durantula, Velvet Hoop, or whatever you call him, he's ridiculous.

If it wasn't for Smith we'd have about 10 points. Durant is on the bench right now, Clippers need to close the gap.

53-46 Thunder at the half. Big quarter from Kaman after a sub-par 1st quarter. He has 15 & 8. Smith has 15 & 5. BD, EJ & Gooden are a combined 3-15 from the field. It could be a 2 possession game right now, but we were getting blocked left and right in the last 2 minutes.

Sparknotes.com still work? How about the Cliff's Notes, or is it not that kind of book?

Maaan, I haven't even checked sparknotes.com since my high school years.

*Gives the finger to the grapes of wrath*

They're short 2 page essays on topics for human geography :roll: First one is on cultural ecology comparisons between the Netherlands and Florida.. OooOOoOoooh. :x Luckily this is my last GE class to graduate so I'm almost done with this boring stuff.

Seems like Baron is sucking it up hard. He needs to buy an extended Baron's beard to get things going. Maybe he can give himself a discount since he was on his own infomercial. Employee discount?

I had to use Sparknotes or Cliff's Notes in high school or one of my friends. I hardly read an entire book for English, just studied definitions in chemistry, bio & physics. I went legit in college though.

I don't know anything about Culutral Ecology comparisons between Netherlands and Florida, so good luck on that. :lol: I'm glad to hear that you're close to graduating though. :D

Well this topic is luckily in the textbook(still have 5 more to write in the next few weeks though.. not sure how easy those are), I just gotta figure out how to write an essay cause it's been...5-6 years since I've written one. :o I dropped out of college for 3 years a while back. :P Should graduate at the end of Spring if I finish up these last 3 classes. :) Then it's off to struggle finding a job like everyone else, even though I've been in this situation for the past year and a half already. :P

I didn't care for writing essays either. Each professor/TA wanted something different. I would fluff it up though. I'd say the same thing 3 sentences in a row, in 3 different ways, without saying anything. My advice would be to start with an outline and flesh it out.

Dang no one else even posted in this thread... I'm tempted to throw some awkward humor in here, but I think this loss is uncomfortable enough. :lol:

I was at the game right next to the thunders bench, I have to say I'm really disappointed how the game came out. It looked like the Clippers never got into rhythm. The only consistent Clipper was probably Rhino and I'm glad he's back. I sure hope we resign him!
