IMO, BPA should go to the 1st pick, so Wall to WAS makes sense. We all know that's who he'd take, and like Gremz said it makes more sense than skipping him.

I understand ur point but feel there should be some punishment for not making ur pick. By this theory i would obviously take turner so i dont need to show up and make my pick i can just wait for mascot to pick him for me. Then indiana wouldnt have to make there pick if they want cousins cause he is Bpa and will get him anyway. All i am saying is that mascot set the rules as if u dont make ur pick the person behind u could go then u would get the next bpa from DX. I dont see why we should change the rules and endorse not making ur pick.

I don't see any need for punishment. It's only a game.....

I understand, you want Wall, heck will all do. But is that was this game has come to? Penalising people for things like this? The guy might be having some personal difficulty or be unavailable for some other reason.

That's just my two cents.

Of course you feel this way. You're one of the people that missing a pick and has the rules bended specifically for you.

Rules are rules. If you are't going to follow them, then why even bother posting them. Like it was mentioned, if theres no penalty for missing a pick, and I have the 3rd pick and I want either Turner or Cousins, why would I even need to bother with signing on and drafting for myself when I know that I will get those players anyways since they are BPA

IMO if a GM misses his pick the BPA should be taken for him. Since only 1 site is being used there should be no issues. I think letting the next GM draft and THEN giving out BPA to the 1st GM is not really fair or in the proper spirit of the draft.

IMO Wall should be in DC and any other missed picks should already have the BPA chosen for them as well.

Hell by keeping it BPA according to Draft Express means everyone knows who will be picked for them so no need to even have to wait for Mascot to chyme in for every missed pick if we go this route. Now if a GM that has missed a pick decides he would rather have someone else that is still on the board he could swap his auto pick for said player.

That is what I would do if we want to keep things rolling while remaining fair for all.

obviously i want wall. if i would rather have turner i would have drafted him. But i read the rules long before the pick and felt it was fair. i never thought it would come into play for the first pick. he may have had an emergency and if he did i would feel bad to question his reason for not making the pick but the draft order has been posted for what two days now. With the first pick he could have posted it at any time or sent a list. I realize there are things that come up. But why have rules if we're not gonna follow them.

Seriously though, I've just gone through the entire trade thread and can't see it being traded at all.

Since it is now 2am 3/6/2010 in New York

And by Mascot's rules
Mascot wrote:Also, if you have not picked and 1 person picks after you, you will be assigned the best player from draftexpress that is left. This will give you at least a chance to draft someone decent.
Anyone who is listed on draftexpress is eligible to be drafted.

Meaning, after your draft deadline, the next person down the line is eligible to draft. Once he/she drafts, whoever missed their pick will be given the next BPA. Since no one else has drafted since New Jersey, I will now go, before Denver skips me too.

Sacramento drafts Demarcus Cousins...therefore the draft...

1. Washington - Evan Turner
2. New Jersey - John Wall
3. Indiana - Derrick Favors
4. Milwaukee - Al-Farouq Aminu
5. Utah via New York - Cole Aldrich
6. Detroit - Ed Davis
7. Minnesota - Wesley Johnson
8. Sacramento - Demarcus Cousins

Cousins is ranked 4th on DX, therefore your plan is completely flawed.

Not really, Mascot's rules state, if you have not picked, and someone else after you picks, then you will be assigned the next BPA. If Team A missed their pick, and Team B picks, then Team A gets #1 BPA. If Team A and B misses their pick, then after Team C picks, Team A gets #1 BPA, Team B gets #2 BPA, and so forth.

Since 5 other teams missed their assigned draft times, then whoever is next can draft who they want, and the five teams that missed their times then get the next BPA

Sorry guys but Im a little confused about this draft thingy. Little help please....

1. I didn't trade the Detroit pick at all, so do I still own it? I think I do but Im not sure. I know I own the Magics 1st though through trade.

2. When is the draft anyway? I live in Australia so I have no clue as to when it'll be on for me here.

Thanks in advance.

john wall needs to go to WAS at first overall. lame that a guy is away for 24 hrs and loses weeks worth of work.

First Round

1. Washington 5pm March 5th - John Wall
2. New Jersey 7pm March 5th - Evan Turner
3. Indiana 8 pm March 5th - Derrick Favors
4. Milwaukee 9pm March 5th - DeMarcus Cousins
5. Utah via New York 10 pm march 5th - Al-Farouq Aminu
6. Detroit 11pm March 5th - Cole Aldrich
7. Minnesota 12 am march - Hassan Whiteside
8. Sacramento 1 am march - Ed Davis
9. Denver 2 am march 6th - Greg Monroe

the rule I made was for one person missing their pick not 9 **** people. Sorry guys but that is just ridiculous. The first 9 picks will be as Draft Express has them. If you have a problem with that then email me. Im not starting a public fight over the fact that apparently almost half the GMs dont care about the game.

Sending out an email in a bit. If i dont get a reply in 24 hours im kicking everyone who doesn't reply from the game.

Edit: Whiteside goes to Minny as it does not affect the draft in any way. If you want to change you can but only if the guy is not already listed as being picked. e.g Detroit could not switch to Whiteside because Minny now has him.

Seeing as how the next pick has not been, can I change my pick to Greg Monroe?
