Laker Fans here come the MAVS!!

Post#1 » by williescott2 » Sat Mar 6, 2010 3:38 am

Not only are they saying that the Mavericks are going to cause the Lakers some trouble in the playoffs. But the Mavericks are slowly and surely gunning for that #1 seed. Mavs are getting closer and closer in that rear view mirror!

With the way we have been playing, that's not exactly out of the question. Mavs are a team that is rejuvenized and motivated to get back in the championship hunt. We, on the other hand, treat this season like a vacation. We shouldn't look at what other people are doing right now, we just have to worry about playing our best. And that, unfortunately, is not something we look like we are even trying to do right now.

I'm guessing the "they" you're referring to is ESPN...did you really need ESPN to tell you that the Mavs are a legitimate contender? Bringing in Caron and Haywood instantly made them a contender, they have Dirk, J-Kidd, Shawn Marion, Caron, and Haywood starting with Terry off the bench, Dampier when he gets healthy, and Deshawn Stevenson....that should be enough said

I doubt you have much to worry about. Dallas is very thin right now due to Eric Dampier and Jason Terry being out. Brendan Haywood suffered a minor back injury tonight against the Kings. By mid March the schedule becomes more difficult for Dallas, but tomorrow they face Chicago on the road, and I doubt Brendan plays. Eduardo Najera is the teams backup 5 right now, but he's most likely going to start tomorrow against Chicago, so that should give you an idea of how thin the current state of the team is. The schedule favors Dallas over Denver and Utah, but not so much LA.

Who cares? Beating the Lakers isn't too hard these days. This whole basketball team sucks. If Dallas doesn't beat the Lakers then it is Dallas who will forever be known as chokers and losers. Right now the mavs should worry about Denver. Denver is the best team in the West hands down. There is no chance in hell the Lakers even get back to the finals unless that 2001 team shows up to save this pathetic joke of a basketball squad.

Thanks SS.

I have a great routine down now. Heres the secret.

Basically
1. Lie face up on the floor and lace your fingers behind your head.
2. Bring the knees in towards the chest and lift the shoulder blades off the ground without pulling on the neck.
3. Straighten the left leg out while simultaneously turning the upper body to the right, bringing the left elbow towards the right knee.
4. Switch sides, bringing the right elbow towards the left knee.
5. Continue alternating sides in a 'pedaling' motion for 12-16 reps.

So how is the weather in Texas these days???

Not too bad TM. Mornings are cold afternoons are great & evenings are cold still. Yeah that was funny as hell brah, misspelled or not! lolololololol i should have told old boy to stop drooling @ Tony's rippedness!!! lololololol.

As far as the team, yeah were not playing good ball right now but it is still early march. If we're still playing like this late march/early April then there's need for concern, but i'm ride or die. Denver, Dallas & whoever else has to show me they can beat us in a 7 game series.
