I guarantee you that Shonn Greene will have more yards then Jones had in '09, if healthy. Sig that.[/quote]

maybe but remember washington is back in. greene on the other hand is going to become a scary runningback for other defense's to worry about and especially since the jets decided to run a wildcat with brad smith its going to be a crazy season for the jets in '10

I never liked Rhodes b/c of his attitude and "persona" that he thinks he has, but he was a solid player. Should have least gotten a 3rd rounder. Does conditional mean like unprotected in NBA? If the picks are unprotected, then I guess it's an OK deal.

It means, if he has a huge year in 2010, the pick will be changed.

No, I said Nmandi - Revis - Webster. And if he didn't get hurt early last year thats how it would be. He was incredible in 08. Almost as good as Revis was this year.

Well, from what I'm hearing and what it sounds like, Tammy wouldn't leave a gap like this if we didn't have an upgrade coming. I'm hearing a lot of hoping of OJ Atogwe. But we did draft Rhodes with a 4th, and he only had one good year that he couldn't follow up. Plus, Rex knows defense. He wouldn't let someone up if he didn't think we was replaceable.

And KLN, does that mean if he plays well, we get a higher pick? Thanks.

Not to be a ****, but you said Webster>Revis. I can go search it, if I remember the thread's name.

If he plays well, the draft pick will go up. Correct.

Yeah, dudes were def saying Webster>>>Revis and using his numbers from the season before (they were very impressive to be fair) but he posted numbers with a very nice pass rush as the key to the defense, for the Jets Revis was the reason the Jets had any pass rush at all (I don't think I need to explain this). Revis' season in my eyes is probably the best I've seen from a player in the secondary since I've begun truly understanding the facets of the game (not all that long compared to many older posters).

Kerry Rhodes doesn't make plays. He has a lot of opportunities to bat a ball or something but he stays back. It's not a great trade but we need picks.

Revis always and always will be better than Webster. Revis looks good no matter what, Webster looked good when the Giants were really getting at the QB.

Rhodes getting moved hurts because he has unlimited range. That's why the Jets rarely gave up the big play. When we got Cromartie I thought he was safe, but who knows. This draft is deep with safeties and there are some good restricted safeties out there.

Thanks for finding those. Now KLN can stfu and finally admit he's wrong and that I never said that Revis was better than Webster. I did say Webster was top 5 if not top 3 and if he wasnt hurt this year he would have been.

I can live with it the dude was more concerned about acting and modeling rather then football. He has the talent but not the desire anymore. we are drafting a safety or a dline in the first 2 rounds in any order

Something about Rhodes never sat right with Rex. This was bound to happen. Whether we got fair market value, is a fair question. But I don't think that you can judge that in a vacuum ... in other words, we have to wait and see what Tannenbaum and Ryan do from here until the beginning of the season before we judge this trade.

KR had to go.

Its a shame, the kid has crazy talent. As a UL fan I've followed him since college. He pretty much cost UL a national championship in 2004 when he dropped a key INT right in his hands late in the 4th qtr during a game against Miami that would've sealed the deal. He was drafted late because of things like that. He came into the league hungry to prove himself. He's lost that edge the last couple of years.

AS for the 4th, once I saw B-More get Boldin for a 3rd and 4th I knew we would be lucky to get anything higher than a 4th for KR.
