Our defense is the problem. No players in particular, just the whole thing
Sure, our O-Line sucks but we still through for 250 passing yards today. And how many teams actually have a good O LINE anyway? You can't 'force' an O Line to be good, but you can get better defensively
14 fourth quarter points down our throat, defense sucks.

The defense was terrible, just terrible. Yes, they **finally** got some turnovers off one of the most turnover prone QBs in the league, but all season they've let themselves get run over - and in a game when the wind was forcing offenses to run for their lives - that's just not acceptible.
The offense had its faults, but to their credit they also tried a bunch of new things - and they worked. No huddle offense, shovel passes, etc. About the only huge flaw I saw was that Rex STILL isn't stepping up in the pocket. If he could get into that habit he'd be a lot more dangerous.
As a Rex-hater, I was actually pretty impressed - especially with that bomb to Hester, that was pretty crazy and had Hester caught it, it would have made people around the league s&*t themselves.

I still REALLY blame it on the offensive line for our offensive shortcomings. Those penalties killed our drives that we had going and when we tried to start some, Adrian Peterson couldn't get any yards on the ground(no thanks to the O Line) and then Rex then had to compensate it by throwing on a third and long(Which actually could just be bad play calling) in which the pass rush of the Giants and the wind played a huge factor.
That's how I look at it though. You could simplify everything and blame Hester.

The defense shouldn't have to win the game for us, but you have to admit that throughout this entire season the defense has let offenses run over them at will - and they've done so at the worst possible times in games. I used to blame that on the defense playing so much - but lately the offense has at least managed to eat some clock, so that's not it.
The bottom line is our team is a wreck - there's holes everywhere and we will need some major turnover (QB,RB,OL,DL,DB,HC,OC,DC and possibly P) to become competitive again.

QB - If Grossman is healthy, I'd like to see what he can do behind a good O-Line with a good running gaame.
RB - Same with Benson, although I'd like for us to go out and sign Turner.
OL - Hell yeah, biggest weakness on this team.
DL - I don't think so. A healthy Tommie Harris makes a huge difference, and hopefully Dusty will come back next year, also Dan Bazuin will play. Definitely need a little DT depth, though, but our top 3 guys did get injured this year (Harris/Dvoracek/Walker)
DB - Safety, hell yeah, Biggest weakness on the defense. Our corners are fine, though. Vasher has missed the last 10 games and that has done a number on our pass defense.

You did see what a healthy Rex with a healthy Offensive Line and a good running can do--that was last year. What happened from the AZ game on was a book on how to beat Rex that was demonstrated over and over. Rex has improved this year in terms of not making categorically stupid plays over and over (instead it was just one or two in a game) and he has stood up and made some very nice throws this year. I'm not sure much has changed though.

I don't know, I saw a change in him the past 3.5 games. Not many stupid throws at all, just one interception, making much better decisions, not going long into coverage when he had someone open underneath, and he looked more mobile as well. He still had fumbilitis, though, he fumbled 4-5 times and lost 2-3 of them in that span.
He also completed 56% of his passes which could stand to improve some more but is better then last year. But his numbers would have looked so much better if not for several drops. There were at least 3-5 great throws that were dropped vs Denver, and then the Hester drop that would have made Grossman's statline look so much better.
