A Chance to knock the Spurs out?

Post#1 » by hoopnow » Tue Mar 9, 2010 12:18 am

With Parker out 6 weeks, he will probably miss the beginning of the playoffs. The Suns have 17 games left and 8 of them are against teams over .500, if we can climb to the 3 seed, is this the year we finally knock them out? Of course all of this is dependent on the Spurs climbing to 6 from 7, and the Suns climbing to 3.

No. Just no. We went through this in 2008 when the Suns team had all of the momentum, the Spurs looked like crap, and the Suns blew the Spurs out the last time they had played in the regular season.

Somehow they will win.

I had to edit that to get my facts straight by the way, but it does seem like them and Utah always find a way to beat us, I just want us to smash the Spurs in one series, that'd be like winning the Championship for me this year.

Pop owns us. Lets try to avoid them. Their too clutch in the playoffs and too solid defensively.

A huge weight would be lifted from Planet Orange if the Suns beat the Spurs in a series.

We are capable of finding a way to lose a series against the Nets, sigh.

There is no easy path in the west-- all of the teams are quite capable of beating us. We are a good team, but no longer a powerhouse.

We're capable of beating any team in the West -- ESPECIALLY in a 7 game series -- which favors us. Also, we're capable of being beat by anyone in the West. That's just how the playoffs work in the West. East, not so much.

Dallas vs Cleveland NBA Finals. I'm calling it right now!

Ending game lineups:

Kidd>Fisher
Kobe>Terry
Butler>Artest
Odom>Marion
Dirk>Gasol

Suns need to avoid the 7 and 8 seeds to give themselves a chance.

7 game series never ever ever ever ever are better for offensive teams versus defensive teams. ever. period.

works great, wear'em out from runnin'em up and down, change and react to what they're trying to do defensively, etc. we could still end up 2 or 3 so who knows... feel very good though!

+1. 7 game series favors defensive half-court teams. Defense will always be there but hot shooting won't.

Not even our own FO nor our players had any true championship contending ambitions this season. You seem to be the only one.

What drives them to play? To pay the salaries? To not salary dump?

Of course they're not going to say they're trying to contend in public... they'd get laughed at.
