Parker Breaks Hand

Spurs point guard Tony Parker broke his right hand in Saturday night's win over the Grizzlies.

Parker could miss six weeks with the injury.

He broke the fourth metacarpal near the end of the first half and did not return to the game. The injury apparently occurred during a scramble for the ball.

All I have to say is fack we're screwed.

Yeah, that sucks. At least he should be ready for the playoffs.

You know, that period after the regular season that usually sees Suns fans fail and whine?

If it wasn't for injuries and refs screwing us over we'd already have a ring. Thank you very much and have a lovely day.

Keep telling yourself that.

We own your asses and have proven it year after year when it matters.

Utah would of taken Phoenix out in 6 games at most... too much size, toughness, rebounding, interior scoring advantages, and better defensive capabilities than Phoenix (Utah being an average at best defensive team).

Oh, and, you didn't get past us because your system was, and is, flawed for serious play-off basketball.

You proved him right about the whining at least.

Let's be real here for a second. The Suns were never a championship quality squad because they only played 50% of the game of basketball. They're a fun little team to watch and Steve Nash is a hell of a player but they were more a sideshow than a legitimate threat for the championship.

Go ahead and make yourself feel better by knocking a declining Spurs team. The descent is much steeper when a team has actually reached the top of the hill. Not that you would know anything about that.

Suns style of play was never suited to playoff basketball. This got proven time and time again, yet some Suns fans want to make excuses for why they couldn't get over the hump.

Why did they move Marion, aside from his whining? SSOL was a failure. They traded for Shaq and changed their dynamic. They also became first round fodder for us. They dumped Porter and reverted to SSOL. And yeah, they're a good team to watch, I enjoy their style for what it is. Entertainment. But it's not successful in the postseason, and never will be.

Now I can't crow too much, cause we aren't doing ish this season, but I don't care what seed the Suns end up with - they're not doing a thing in the playoffs. Second round at the very most.

Parker's back for the next game. Pop said he's gonna limit him to about 15 minutes. Looking forward to seeing which Manu we see in this game. The one who defers or the one who dominates. I think Parker defers to Manu until he gets his rhythm back.
