Sad game, but I'm liking Livingston. Hopefully he continues to improve.

Interesting lineup to finish out the game: Livingston, Young, Miller, Thornton, Singleton. Everybody is either 6-7 or 6-8. Singleton, Miller and Thornton rebound well enough to make it work. With a little time to gel, that unit might be pretty effective defensively if they switch on all picks.

No reason for Boykins to get any more minutes.

Blatche took 22 shots tonight.

He attempted 0 free throws.

If a player shoots 22 times, it's really, really hard not to get to the free throw line.

C'mon Dray, you're betta than that.

To be fair, he's really not benefiting much from the officiating. He made a few aggressive moves and there was either no call or a questionable offensive foul.

That said, he does need to keep fighting for position all night. The last few games, it seems like if he can't get position during the first quarter than he mainly stops trying. I think he'll move away from that as he builds more muscle and can push back more effectively down low... I don't think he has a great deal of confidence in his post game against stronger players at the moment.

Pefect example: Blatche driving to the basket in 1Q and Scola slide into him and they call the foul on Blatche. I'll bet he'd be more confidently aggressive if Haywood was still here; as it is, they're thin at the bigs and thin as far as scorers, and if he gets in foul trouble, the team is in trouble.

Yep, I think the honeymoon after the trade is officially over and that we are going to see a lot of L's the rest of the way.

I watched most of the game tonight and I was thinking the same thing. As tall and quick as he is he shouldn't be settling for so many jumpers.

However the role of primary scorer is new for him. It will be interesting to see if he adjusts in the remaining games.

They really need to learn how to box out. Scola got 5 offensive rebounds, Hill 4.

I'm still looking forward to at least one more version of this team... One with a natural PG.

In the chat room we got to talking a lot about Shaun.

6-7 long arms and he seems to still be pretty quick and most importantly, he is a true PG. Not a SG trying to be a PG or a SG who doesn't want to be a PG. Think about how many pure PG we have had here in recent memory. Blake, AD and Shaun.

Had Flip started him or at least got him the game earlier, I think we would have played a lot better, just like we did once he got in. And Nick just so happen to have played his best game with a TRUE PG in the game. With Shaun starting, then we can have other players play in their natural positions better. Foye can play more SG. Let Liv and Mini Me play most the PG minutes.

So that's what I'm looking forward to seeing and that is what I hope makes the games still worth watching. I think Shaun is going to make the game easier for other players so they can continue to develop. He will make it easier for everyone.. That's what a good PG does.

no calls - the charge against Miller was a particularly bad call in my view.

At one point it seemed to me almost as if N1 was the bailout player
after we failed to execute to a good shot. Then he would make something
happen.

It wouldn't bother me at all to see SL and N1 be the starter for the next 5-10
games.
