Turner's a SG b/c he only weighs 205 lbs. Henry weighs about 20 lbs more than that.

I think Johnson is gone by 8. I like Henry at 13 as opposed to trading up for Johnson b/c Henry is a better passer and has a good chance at becoming the better player in the long run. I like Johnson though. If he's there at 8, I could easily be sold on Johnson/Udoh instead of Monroe/Henry, however I think I'd prefer the younger players' upside.

^^^ Maybe you should wait till the official draft measurements before claiming to know college players heights and weights.

I agree with you Rev, often times I think of SG's as guys who move without the ball, get screened for and pop a jumper. SFs seem to be more involved in play-making. For some reasons I take position very seriously, maybe I shouldn't. But after years of having undersized players at position with the Wolves (especially with KG), I just want prototypes guys now.

There's plenty of examples either way, but I tend to think of SG's as the guys who can create their own shots and SF's as being guys who are bigger and more athletic. I take that back, both positions are very athletic, but I expect SF's to be at least 6'7.

What an absolutely ridiculous turd-burglar thing to say.

How about until then, for the sake of discussion, we just use the measurements they're currently listed at? I don't think anyone here was assuming I asked Turner to bend over and cough yesterday.

I think I'd like to ammend this a little. I value scoring more at SG, I either want someone who can come off screens or create their own shot. At SF, I care more about athleticism and defense. I've always thought of Corey Brewer as a natural SF for those reasons.

but you'd take what you can get, the top 3 scorers in the NBA are SFs (LBJ/Melo/Durant) and Melo and Durant would be considered average defensively at best

In my ideal world, I'd agree. In general, I'd want a Center thats 7' w/ some strength that intimidates in the paint and rebounds, a long PF that can shoot and defend out to 18' and face up and score like Bosh or something, a 6'8"ish long SF that can hit the corner 3, finish on the break, and act as a defensive roamer, a SG jack of all trades that can create off the dribble, hit the long ball and D up, and a PG that's lightning quick w/ great handles that can push the pace and spot up for 3.

Obviously the Lakers are the epitome of that, but I think we could make a poor man's version of that if we threw out Darko/Love/Brewer/Turner/Flynn.

revprodeji wrote:Turner can be a 2 or 3. Depends on his height. if he is a legit 6'8 then it is similar to Joe Johnson. Fact is positions are blurring. You throw him out there and let him do his thing.

Weird thing is many of the SG I think of as prototypes (Houston, Miller) did not have the handles, but many SF (hill, Pippen) had crazy handles.

There have been some SG with crazy handles as well (Wade, Kobe, MJ, etc.). In the sense that Houston and Miller are prototype SG, the prototype for SF would probably be the type of player described by WG and Discount Shoes for Warehouse prices. The crazy handle is then often what separates the great players from those types of players, at both positions.

be careful who you initiate a war with, I will win it.

The trick is to be patient and let the war come to you, then I'm boned.

Simon? Simon Cowell?

You forgot about your beautiful wife. Don't worry, I'm keeping her happy.

By the way, I haven't seen that little tool box, citizen bob, on the trade forum since he made that ridiculous statement and I sig'd him on it. Maybe he's walking to Minnesota to give me the middle finger?

Turn head = testicles

Bend over = prostate?

That's my understanding. You'll find out when your 40 and need your first prostate exam. J2J's "girlfriend" can attest to this.

Well she is a nurse, but she doesn't work in that wing. And she's not my girlfriend yet. We've only been on a handful of dates. Hopefully we'll go down that road.

You're an a-hole Kraphead! I like it. :-)
