Tired of Lazy play equals losses

Post#1 » by general » Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:01 am

If josh Isn't gonna go up strong give it up and stop taking jumpers in crunch time when you should be the 5th option at shooting and joe johnson has to realize if your not hot give it up stop forceing shots when you can go to crawford I rather jamal take a last second shot over Joe anyday of the week.If josh woulda went up strong and not soft that woulda been game.stop the lazy play and selfishness.

They were a couple of "missed opportunities" showing still some lack of maturity on the part of that team in the last 2 min or so.
As far as the last play is concerned, it is actually JC who is forcing that drive and then pass to Smoothe way to low. He has to bring it back up from his waist giving plenty of time for Chandler to anticipate and meet him at the rim...

Are you crazy that was a great pass from crawford,Even espn and Lebron said great pass josh didnt go up with authority like he is suppose to.Other then Lebron james I would pick josh smith to have the game winning dunk but He went up soft. And why doesnt woody run curl plays for crawford and plays for him like he does Joe?Crawford is Better offensive scorer to me.

I've vented a little about Smoove's soft toss to the basket but we've got to remember that he's been playing great lately. He's moved into all-star status (in a major way, at that).

Yeah, I thought he looked tired last night, as well, but 25 pts, 10 rebs, 6 assists and 3 blks are a fantastic line. He's a professional basketball player, so the 3-7 FTs is something to look at but the kid needs some serious love after a stretch like he's having right now.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Smith was trying to dunk the ball on the last shot. i just think that at the end of a back to back he didn't really have his legs.

He does go up soft frequently and hopes to get bailed out by the refs. That last shot wasn't one of those times though.

My big problem with the Hawks right now is how lazy they are on the boards. So often they will just stand and watch someone make a putback, making no effort to get the rebound or contest the shot.

Firstly, please for the love of god use some commas. That first sentence made me want to puke.

Secondly, the one person that you can't point a finger at in this stretch is Josh. He has been consistent, efficient, and poised. It's funny how Josh continues to be the only guy that shows maturity in the crunch recently and you still want to point a finger at him. He did indeed go up to dunk on that last play and Chandler just made an incredible block. You are seriously disillusioned if you think that Josh went up "soft."

Thirdly, Josh has not taken NEARLY as many jumpers this season and that is indicated by his 52% shooting. Anyone who says otherwise has not been paying any attention.

Your boy Crawford has been crap over this stretch, too. He has been settling for far too many perimeter jumpers and continues to make mental errors on defense.

ESPN and Lebron are hardly credible sources on something like this. But it explains a lot as to where your ridiculous opinion on Smoove may have come from.

Far be it from me to agree with the Crawford Crew, but Josh does go up far softer than he should most of the time. I mean, Josh is just as athletic as Amare, but when Amare dunks it he dunks it HARD, while a lot of the time Josh is anticipating the contact, and does that soft dunk or lays it up off the backboard when he's already head level with the rim.
