Just to add to the Dragic love;

I actually met Goran the other night out in Scottsdale. He was really nice to me when I went up to him to introduce myself and make sure that he was THE Goran Dragic (I note this because my friend said he is usually a dick). I was seriously star struck when I saw him in the club, which seemed odd to most people because they were like "Dragic who? Is he really on the Suns?", but I like Dragic in a Suns uni and seeing an up-and-coming player is more exciting to me than seeing, oh say, Nash.

I praised his play and told him he was THE MAN and then offered to buy him a drink, to which he declined. "Only Water" he said, so I asked if he was preparing for the Laker game and he said "YES". I then left him alone until I found a friend with a camera because I wanted to get a pic with him, but he shot that down too. "No pictures in the clubs, I'm sorry", he said, so I settled for an autograph (oh woe is me haha).

Some people thought that was a dick move to not get a pic with me and I guess that could be how he has earned the reputation as being a mean dude, but I totally respected it and understand why he wouldn't. After all the pics of Doris and his fat ass out in the clubs, who would really want to see Dragic out and about making a fool of himself? Especially as a second year player who is doing so well and impressing everyone within the organization, if not around the league.

Even though I haven't modified my sig since I added The Great Al McCoy, I have been wearing the DFC tag for quite some time now.

I have also met with Goran some times in Slovenija, and he is not a "mean"dude.. I guess he is still having problems with another culture and language now.. No photos in the clubs is the team policy, i guess..

My oldest brother got me an autographed picture of him. Totally sweet. I can understand the picture thing, if you got one, half the people there would get one and I'd be willing to bet alot of them wouldn't even know who he was outside of here-say, which they would hear 20 seconds before getting the picture.

If it's team policy, then that's a good policy to have. If it's just Dragic being a man and looking out for his image, then it's still a good move. Like I said, last thing we want is for our future point guard to end up on dirty.com or TMZ pouring shots into girls mouths or acting a fool in general.

I wasn't offended at all, if that wasn't clear in my story. I was just happy to meet the guy and let him know that the fans/realgm (yes, I tried to tell him about realgm) like him and are excited about what he is doing out there on the court.

Ya I told him, "We have a fan club on realgm.com" and such, but he just kind of smiled and said thank you a lot. I mean, it was loud and although he might understand english, he probably doesn't understand drunken english all too well. A lot of thumbs up's from both of us.

Cool experience PHXfan85

My only Goran story; My bro and I were at a private practice in Indian Wells the day before the outdoor game and as Gentry was speaking the players were leaving the court running up the aisle we were sitting on, my brother was in the aisle seat. As Goran sprinted past up the stairs my brother put his hand up for a high five and Goran missed. So I turned around to see his momentum carry him about 10 more steps up before he stopped and turned around and came back down the stairs to high five my brother. Stupid brother had focused his attention back on the court so Goran got all the way back with his hand out and being ignored, he laughed and slapped my brother in the back of the head and then took off back up the stairs.

I laughed my ars off at my bro for that one.

 That is awesome. It's relieving to have someone who's 1. An intense player who's 2. getting better as the season goes on (lots of huge assist games lately) and 3. isn't afraid of doing something most, if any, other NBA players wouldn't do. Hard not to like him

The Suns passed on Holiday, Lawson and Collison because they commited to Dragic. Unless he progresses to be better than at least one of them I for one am dissapointed in his progress...

Yeah he's better than I expected but still it cost them that second rounder and probably one of those guys because they would have needed a point, that's what's dissapointing

Dragic is better than all three of those guys right now (Holiday, Lawson and Collison).

He has better size, athleticism, scoring and defense than any of those guys as well.

Dragic will probably turn out to be a dynamic combo guard who can defend the 1 and 2 position and score 18-20+ppg at either position.

Dragic also has the potential to be an All NBA caliber defender down the road.

If Nash was out, Dragic would be as adored as Collison

So what does he have to do to impress you? How does he "progress" to be better than those other players?

Does he need to score 20pts off the bench while handing out 10 assists? What is your qualification for progress?

I haven't been as excited about a player the Suns drafted (and kept for Christ sake) since Stoudemire. If you truly watch the kid MVF, there quite honestly isn't anything not to be excited about.

Dragic is better than Holiday, has a higher ceiling than Lawson, and you can't really compare Collison and Dragic, because Collison is allowed to play 48 minutes a night on a team with nothing to lose.

I am surprised to hear that some people had a bad experience meeting Dragic. Every time i meet him in a club in Ljubljana he is very nice, and always sais hello even if we did only play eachother a few times when we were both around 15-16. We did get into a scuffle hehe so may be thats why he still remembers lol. But he is genuinely a very nice guy IMO.

Lol. The picture where Dragic is trying to go past Mailk Allen reminds me of Frodo from LOTR.
