^^^ I'm still holding out hope that he finds his shooting touch. I knew he was gonna decline, but I didn't expect that to include his ability to hit open shots, which is basically all we ask him to do.

^^^I don't think "most of us" were HAPPY with the Bibby re-signing .... but resigned to it. Look back and you'll find many who wanted to look at other PGs. To be honest, I think Sund DID look around but the pickings were slim. I remember I talked about TJ Ford but he was considered expensive and IND didn't want to let him go, anyway. We talked about Jack but many here weren't sure he is a true PG. We also talked about Calderon but his new contract got in the way.

For the record, I don't think Bibby has "lost it" but I do think he's gotten o_l_d. We probably need to use him sparingly. Like most old guys, he'll be almost as good as ever for short spurts, so long as we don't overwork him. If Woodson is determined to have Bibby in the 4th, then maybe we're going to have to play Teague much more in the 1st half. I mean much more.

I'm one who wanted to see Crawford at the point. I still think he could develop into a good PG but I admit it'll take longer than I 1st thought.

It's Teague or get an additional PG.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I agree with that, but the problem is "why ?"
Isn't it due to the fact that all the clutch shots he got last year are now in the hands of Crawford ? I believe it's part of the problem.

And even if there are more bad games this year from Bibby, I still don't understand how some much people can put this loss on Bibby, while the guy, even with a bad game, played when ATL beats NYK by 2pts, and when NYK wins 3pts on ATL when Bibby is on the bench.

Yes, if he played well in this game, it would certainly have lead to a +10 instead of +2, ending with a win by +7pts.
But please, how the other guys managed to lose by 3pts without Bibby ?
Isn't it a good question too ? Everybody is saying that they are not responsible because of what ? they have decent or good stats ?

Stop looking at the personal stats line only, but more at what happens when a player is on and off the court.
When a guy is not hitting the shot, but that the team is not losing when is on the court, there's no big problem as long as his presence make the team winning.

Where is the big change in this game ? At 50-52, when Bibby is replaced by Crawford with 8min left in the 3rd quarter, and when Bibby came back, with 7min left in the 4th, the score is 78-89.
He was not on the floor when NYK took a huge lead.
Once on the floor again, he made one rebound, one TO, but the team came back from -11pts to -6pts in 3 min, with 4min and a half left.
Then the team continued to come back without Bibby, but it was too late.

It was too late to come back from this 11pts lead for NYK, with 9pts of these 11pts build when Bibby was on the bench.
And there are still people saying that this guy is the one who turned this game into a loss ?

I love how you guys are complaining about PG situations... We've had Duhon for almost 2 seasons :(. Good game nonetheless Atlanta. For some reason, the Knicks figured out your deal but we can't figure out the Nets deal. Go figure.

^^^ True but we are supposedly a dangerous team in the EC while NYK are a lotto team this year (it could be very different after the 2010 offseason). We are supposed to have a competent PG.

I think Bibby is now out there to run the team rather than look for his shots like he did last yr...

When he is off the floor the team seems to stand around while players go one on one...
