If the Kings played in the East they, too would be a team contending to make the playoffs so lets kill this B. Jennings and the Bucks to the playoffs right now.

Its pretty simple. What rookie has had the best season? Its no brainer, Tyreke Evans. Here are the facts.

Evans is on the verge of being the 4th rookie ever to average 20/5/5, joining Oscar Roberston, MJ and Lebron.

He has been damn good from day 1. Unlike other players this year, he didn't start hot and cool down, or get hot late in the season. I like Curry, but he got hot late. Based on that logic all you need to do is have a good last 2 months of the season to win it, and thats pure garbage IMO.

Evans has had as big of impact on kings as Jennings has on Bucks. For one, the Bucks on in the east. Making the playoffs in the east is not impressive. I mean, the Nets can get hot and make the playoffs :P
The other point here too is that Salmons has really improved the Bucks and they got hot when they traded for him. I'm not trying to come down on Jennings, I think he is a good player and will be for a long time, but its not like he is single handedly carried the bucks to the playoffs.

The other factor here, is that Evans takes over games. Down the stretch he kicks it into another gear to bring the kings back or make crucial if not game winning buckets. I don't think the other rookies have compared to him in this regard.

Lastly, his defense. He is far better defensively than the other candidates. I agree its not all about stats. You have to look at how a player has all around affected games, and its clear Evans has had the biggest all around impact as a player on his team. If Curry and even Collison had played like they are now from the get go, it'd be very interesting. But the fact is they haven't. I don't get how you can throw out what someone accomplishes in the first half of the season for the current "hot" guy. Its insane.
Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.

Are we really still talking about this?

Tyreke is a guard. A damn good one at that. And, when Beno is on, I like Beno next to him in the backcourt. The day and age of fitting every play to a particular position is behind us. See Lebron James.

It is not a forgone conclusion that Tyreke Evans is Rookie of the Year and I do not really buy into this politicking for it and even going so far as to design an entire game for it!
Let me tell you people something...Rookie of the Year should go to the rookie who has the most impact not just the best player!
BRANDON JENNINGS IF THE BUCKS GET IN THE PLAYOFFS SHOULD BE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR! I don't care what his stats are like, his team is winning with him starting. What more do you really need then that? He has the most impact.
Now I am not going to get in a tit for tat spat here about it because I like Tyreke. I picked Curry and Jennings at the begining of the year to share the award...But I knew he would be a force as well. But come on now....I am ok with it until you start campaining too hard for it...

WIN SOME GAMES FIRST!

Here's a nice list of all the guys who, since 1970, who, in a single season, have put up 15+ PPG while shooting 37% or worse from the field:

You will notice that it's not a long list.
