Walton hurts us just as much as he helps us. Does no one still remember the amount of boneheaded plays he makes? He will run a possession to perfection then stink it up on the next. I don't even want to think we need Luke to have a successful playoff run.

Luke being a key to the Lakers success is a bit of a stretch. The one thing he does well is pass, unfortunately his turnovers are just about on par with his assists.

you huygs need to remember, their is a "system" in place here, the triple-post offense, or the triangle. in that system , if implemented correctly, their really are 4 point-forwards and one big man. in that context all the point forwards are slashers and passers and shooters. this is cornerstone or premise of the offense, its in that context that luke is actually a very decent and servicable player. like someone else said, good things tend to happen when he is on the floor.
he can do boneheaded things as well. but i tend to think thats just more of his body not responding to things that his mind tells it to do.

I think he is. He could be a great complement off the bench, 12-15 minutes per game as SF-SG back-up, our offense seems to be smoother when he is playing. Give him credit, we all know he is not a good jumpshooter and turns the ball over frequently, but his passing and IQ skills are amazing.
