The Miami Heat are thrilled to announce that they have resigned Brendan Haywood to a new deal. We love his defense and rebounding and toughness. He fit in very nicely with our style of play. Brendan wanted to stay here when we traded for him last year. We front loaded his deal to make it even more to his liking and also gave him a player option that if he wanted to test the market again in a few years he has that option.

Mascot can you please announce the signings and the reasons why players are signing. I find it odd that Haywood would pass up a contract worth 17 million dollars more

your contract gave haywood 3 million less

Sacramento - 5 year, 52.22 mil Year 1 (12 mil); Year 2 (11.111 mil); Year 3 (10.345 mil); Year 4 (9.677 mil, TO); Year 5 (9.091 mil, PO)

in 4 years any team in their right mind would cut him at 35 years old

I'm not trying to argue. I meant to put ETO, but I guess I missed up...so it's no big deal. I'm just saying I would appreciate it if you would post the free agency signings and explain why players signed there like how it's been done in the past. Many of these signing explanations that come from the teams themselves seem random. It would be better to have a consistent explanation. That's all. No need to get butthurt

im not the one "butthurt" about his fake claim.

you want reasons.

Bosh - LA tied best team. best option for bosh to get most money wtf more else does he need.
Wade - Miami was 3rd best team. best option for wade to get money. same.
haywood - 3rd best team best money and starting job.

The Hawks are proud to announce that they have agreed to a five year extension with PG Raymond Felton. We believe we got the best PG available in Free Agency and continues the youth movement we have going on in Atlanta. We believe with Felton, Rush, JSmoove, and Perkins we will be able to continue to attract young talented players.

Terms of the Deal were
1st -6.1M
2nd-6.26M
3rd-6.77M
4th -7.3 ETO
5th-7.89 PO
Charlotte Hornets

SGA
Ant Man/Tyler Herro
Dillon Brooks/Royce Oneil/Julian Champagnie
Domatas Sabonis/Cam Johnson

We did it this way last game as well. It makes it more fun for the team to do the press conference so to speak. The press conference isn't about explaining why a team got the player just that they did and are glad to welcome them(back/on board) to the team.

Minnesota (if thats who still has his rights) has 36 hours to match.

LA Lakers are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with PF/C Marcus Camby.

Camby will get starter minutes off our bench and will fit perfectly in our front court with Bogut and Bosh. Marcus told us that winning a title was the one goal he would love to accomplish and he felt this was his best shot at that.

The deal is for the full MLE We feel Camby deserves more than MLE but since that is all we had we offered 4 years at...

$5.4mil
$5.832mil
$6.264mil - ETO
$6.696mil - PO

that camby contract is going to cost a pretty penny against the cap upfront with the over-36 rule.

actually, i'm not even sure it fits under the MLE limit. might want to check up on the validity of that deal.

I did not know about that rule, however, since all the deals offered for Camby were either 3 years or 5 years, that would still be the deal he took as it gets him the most money on a contending team.
