Dallas gets: Alexis Ajinca, Marcus Thornton, Troy Murphy, James Posey, Derrick Brown

Charlotte accepts. We immediately waive the unguaranteed contract of Erick Dampier. We look forward to being players in the FA market and really can't believe we had to give up Marcus Thornton, but that's the price to pay.

Minnesota is far enough under the cap for this to work.
Dallas accepts. It's tough to lose a vet like Przybilla and a recent draft pick, but we like the prospects we're getting. Koufos is young and should develop nicely with increased playing time, and we think Young is already a decent starter who could very well become a star in this league.
This trade starts the rebuild for Dallas. Kidd, Marion, Arenas, Battier, and Dampier (with his useful contract) are all on the block, and even Dirk could be moved at the right price.

Houston trades:

Jermiane Taylor $780,871
2011 Clippers 2nd rounder
Dallas trades:
Gilbert Arenas $17,730,693
Clearly the Salaries work.
Why? GIlbert Arenas is a star. Simply put. He was suspended for the 2009-2010 season. We are currently in the 2010-2011 season so he is "playing". We take on some what of a risk here cuz he has a pretty big contract, but we feel it is worth is since we aren't giving up much here. We liked Taylor alot for his potential and AK47 is a huge expiring, which has a lot of value in these games, but again we feel we had to do this deal. Arenas/Boozer combo is one that i like alot.

Dallas and Portland have agreed to a blockbuster deal!
Dallas gives: Dirk Nowitzki, Tayshaun Prince, James Posey, Jason Kidd, Rodrigue Beabouis
Dallas gets: Greg Oden, Emeka Okafor, Hedo Turkoglu, Steve Nash, Dante Cunningham, 2012 1st
outgoing: $48.795964 million
incoming: $39.429157 million
Portland gives: Greg Oden, Emeka Okafor, Hedo Turkoglu, Steve Nash, Dante Cunningham, 2012 1st

outgoing: $39.429157 million
incoming: $48.795964 million
$39.429157 million x 1.25 = $49.2864462 million
Dallas accepts. Wow, huge deal, and it's tough to get rid of such great players, especially Dirk, but we love who we're getting in return. We feel Oden still has massive potential, and Nash can either provide a great veteran for our younger guys to learn from or possibly be moved in another deal.

It was really tough for us to part with Nash and Oden, but teaming Dirk with Roy and Stoudemire was simply too much to pass up. Not to be overlooked, we love how Kidd and Prince fit with them. It's also worth noting that while our post defense suffers, our perimeter defense looks great after this deal.
Both Kidd and Nash were getting up there in years and we like getting a nice young PG in Beabouis back in the deal as well. We think he'll be a great fit next to Roy. It hurts to lose Cunningham, but we feel that Rodrigue is a superior prospect.
We don't like taking on Posey's deal but felt okay about it because we sent out Turkoglu as well.
Ultimately, this deal came down to Dirk.

Another deal to announce, contingent upon my last deal officially going through:
Dallas incoming: Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, 2011 1st, 2011 2nd (from Minny) ($10.735113 mil)
Dallas outgoing: Hedo Turkoglu ($9.8 million; 9.8 x 1.25 = 12.25)
Lakers incoming: Hedo Turkoglu ($9.8 million)

As a rebuilding team, we feel that getting rid of Hedo's contract (Walton's is bad, too, but not as bad) outweighs the hit in talent.

We shave another mil off this year's salary and get a player that will at least offer some production off the bench.

The Bulls, and the Grizzlies have agreed upon a trade.
The Bulls send Rodney Stuckey ($2,767,126), and Tyrus Thomas ($7,000,000) in exchange for Devin Harris ($8,981,000). Deal works.
Bulls accept, we hate to lose Stuckey, and newly acquired Tyrus, but Thomas was never in our plans, and we needed a more natural PG. Harris gives us a bit more stability, and has been playing at a much higher level these past two months.

Re: GM A Team 2010 Winter - Trades
We accept.
We were very reluctant to give up that much green to Tyrus to make such a deal work, but we had been looking for a deal in which we acquired some real depth for a while now. We also love Stuckey's size and skill set and feel he makes our backcourt extremely difficult to guard.
Its a case of buy low, sell high on Harris, and we know he'll be successful on his new team.

Knicks agree.
It's tough to deal Nene, but we get two up-and-coming bigs in Thompson and Jordan along with a good bench scorer in Leandro Barbosa.

Phoenix Agrees. We get a starting point guard in Conley which gives us one of the most exciting young duo's in the NBA (Conley/Lawson).
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.
