adrien wojo is a tool...

Post#1 » by HunterSThompson » Sun Mar 14, 2010 11:57 pm

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-kobelakers031310&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

an article about how kobe bryant has "matured". bull.

this "wojo" twat has been a kobe hater his entire sad career. now in the article he states some things that may be accurate or true. thats not my problem with what this guy does, for the entire premise of his "piece" (sic) is that kobe has grown up and matured and that the old kobe would never, ever have been so "wise" in the past if a teammate dared to question their shots or touches.

where he fails, or more importantly, and sadly succeeds, is framing kobe as a petulant , purile spoiled brat without any regard for what the other party in the equation shortcoming might be, or have been,

so when this fluff is on the front page of yahoo on a sunday, the casual reader comes away thinking exactly what "wojo" intended, in other words, charactor assansination. he has been doing this since he got his yahoo gig.

i dunno, most of what i garner from woj's articles is that he like most of us, loves the lakers

he gives them props whenever theres a good run, and generally writes it as he sees it. years of cred as a journalist gives him leeway and gives him larger scope in which to write.

we all saw how kobe refused to shoot in the 2nd half of gm7 against phoenix, the fact that hes still praising the way kobe is handling things the way he is now compared to how he did then. thats still a maturation of personality even if he paints it as machiavellian.

if anything, this piece probably feeds the kobe legacy as to how much a killer/closer/arsehole/snake he actually is (depending on whether ur a laker fan or not)

at least he isnt insecure enough (anymore) and coming out and saying the big dog wont guard the kennel if he isnt getting his touches...

hmmm, i dont read him usually at all, but the handful of articles i have read he just crucifies , and propogates the "lone nut theory" i describe above. maybe thats on me, but after reading his vitriol a couple years ago, i stay away usually.

He's good at writing these feel good stories and always tries to make Kobe look like the hero.

The man sure got some good inside sources though. He's broken way too many trades and other info before anyone else in the media.

like the time he broke the news that Odom signed with the Heat last summer.

You may not like what he has to write, but he's now a legitimate inside source, and he is well informed from what I see.

As far as his eye catching headlines, I'm pretty confident someone else is writing those, that's pretty common from what I understand.

To be fair, I don't know why Kobe can't get a call right now.

Oops wrong thread. Haha.

When it comes to Adrian, he tends to write about whatever is the "hot" topic at the topic and he rides that flow. Kobe's in the good graces in the media and he doesn't write too many bad things about him anymore.
