If You Could Redo The #3 Pick From 2009, Who Would You Take?

Some posters on the draft board think that OKC chose poorly in taking Harden over players like Evans and Curry. Do you think that OKC made the right pick or would you go back and change the pick if given the chance?

Harden is the best fit for our team IMO.

I'll give Harden this offseason to develop his offensive skills; remember, we play defense. The Kings and Warriors don't. It's easy to look good when you have zero responsibility on one side of the floor.

If Harden comes in next season displaying the same mediocre court vision and inability to finish at the rim then yeah, it's time to consider that maybe Evans or Curry would have been a better selection.

At this point if I were to pick anyone out of those guys it would be Tyreke but a back court of Tyreke and Westbrook would shoot a ton of bricks.

Lets give Harden another year to see how he develops.

still harden

his TS% is 54 despite shooting 39% :o

he's possibly a 60 TS% guy

and imo Tyreke wouldnt be doing here what hes doing in sac

an entire backcourt that cant hit a 3 spells trouble

I'd take Curry, he'd be a nice fit as super6th man. The bench struggles ofensivelly with noone to score.

There were rumors before the draft that Presti really liked Curry. He would be deadly off the bench with his shooting, passing, and high BBall IQ. However he really doesn't fit our defensive philosophy, although Maynor doesn't as well. I'm guessing if we drafted Curry we wouldn't have traded for Maynor.

We play defense, we're a playoff team, we've won 63% of our games.

Look at where the Kings and Warriors are on the table, look at their points scored/allowed, look at how many minutes Curry and Evans get.

James Harden would put up the same type of numbers on those teams.

I'd still pick James.

When we drafted Harden i thought it was a bad choice cause i really liked evans and curry, but i think Harden has contributed well off the bench with decent amount of minutes, hes been able to score and play good defense... Ill take harden

I agree. I don't know that any other rookie plugged into Harden's role right now would do significantly better. So far, I still think it was a good pick.

Harden. Put him on those bad team and I would bet he puts up great numbers.IMO he has the passing and rebounding game close to tyreke's and is a better shooter. The difference is he is the number 4or5 option and not the first.

westbrook/evans would be a bad fit, curry is more of a pg than sg, undersized sg, harden was the best fit.
