Al can block shots, but love is the smarter player. both are slow and sometimes lazy, which mean both need to play next to someone NOT slow and lazy.

Why is Love the smarter player? Neither guy seems particularly good at rotating and closing the lane to driving players. And Love definitely doesn't know how to close out on perimeter shooters (even when they are PF's). They also don't seem particularly adept at moving without the ball to create opportunities for MN players when they drive. That's the thing that most impressed me about Darko his first game, he just knew where to move with or without the ball so much better than I've seen either one of Love or Jefferson their entire time here. I'm not saying Love isn't the smarter player, but what should I be watching for that tells me he is the smarter player?

Personally, I think Jefferson is a much better defender and he is versatile by being able to guard two positions.

Although Rambis trying to have Love guard SFs lately I'm told so who knows.

Sasha is a way better shooter than Ellington and he has played on winning teams in the NBA!, so that is my reasoning!

Ryan Gomes should get more shots, also Sasha should play more, Jhonny Flynn= Marcus Banks. We suck at drafting and the team is going sideways at best. Evans and curry would have been choice. We suck at drafting, I don't kare if its kahn mchale or jesus himself!

I stopped reading there.

Edit: now that I've read further: How du you want to draft Evans if Sacramento picked him right in front of us?

What exactly makes you think sasha is a better shooter than anyone. Is it his sub-40% Fg percentage, his sub-50% Ft percentage, or his sub 30% 3pt percentage?

Have you actually watched a single game this season?
All he does is taking bad shots.
MIN: .337 FG%, .262 3 P%, .385 FT%
Career: .405 FG%, .348 3 P%, .685 FT%

Are this the numbers of a good shooter?
Ellington on the other hand averages in his FIRST season: .425 FG%, .38 P%, .839 FT%
Side note: in his 6 year nba career Pavlovic had a better FG% than Ellington just once, hasn't ever made a higher FT% and reached the .40 3 P% twice. I guarantee you Ellington will reach the .40 3 P% at least 3 times in his next 5 seasons if he doesn't make them this season.

The fact that you have played on winning teams in the nba doesn't matter. Sasha clearly wasn't a big reason that Cleveland was winning.
Pavlovic doesn't give a **** about playing for the Timberwolves and you want to see him more often?

Why did they sign sasha than...PT makes a difference. I've been a season ticket holder for 16 years. Just call it as I see it. Ellington=Rashad mccants.. Also if sessions played more than Flynn others would get the ball in better positions... Flynn was a wasted pick, Ty Lawson would have done better. Why sign sessions to such a rich contract to clean up Flynns messes.

Wayne doesn't have half the tools Rashad had as an NBA player. Rashad didn't have any of the brains Wayne had when it comes to being a professional.

It's kind of baffling that anyone who's watched a significant amount of Wolves games this season could think Sasha is anything but wretched. Not that I'd blame you, but how much are you drinking at these games?
I think Ellington looks good, he's a smart player who can shoot. Kind of limited physically.

Really. What are you talking about? Besides the UNC connection and the fact that they're SGs, they're very different players.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Because Ellington plays defense and seems to have his head on straight, obviously.

Because he can play two different positions defensively does not mean he can defend two different positions. I dont feel comfortable having him guard anybody but Yao, seeing as he consistently makes Yao his hoe. I think Jefferson just flat out doesnt want to play defense, and I think at this point in his career its going to be hard to get him to do otherwise.

Love isnt going to block a ton of shots, but if he gets in better shape i think he can be a better defender

neither one of them is ever going to be a stellar defender, but both could be better than they are. i have seen real improvement in al's defense this yr.

funny how things look to different people, but it seems to me that love takes more defensive plays off than al. love reserves his discretionary effort for grabbing boards, which is one more reason it's a mistake to put him on guys who leave the paint. he's too slow and it takes him out of position for rebounds.

Before the rebuild is over both will be gone. Jefferson this summer. Love no later than next.
