or maybe they wanted a backup QB?

Maybe they wanted a QB that throws less interceptions : Stanton=11.8% Stafford=5.3% Hill 1.3%

Lol@ "trying to win" and "Shaun Hill" being used in the same sentence.

I think Stanton should be replaced too ,he seems lost at times throwing up int's always seems to be on the run instead of thinking pass.Other teams put 8 in the box figureing thats what he's going to do.

Stanton showed he was actually starting to 'get it' last season. As a young #2/3 QB, he's still pretty good IMO.

No, we have too many other needs then to worry about replacing our NUMBER 3 QB!

They'll bring in at least one UDFA as a camp arm that can maybe impress them enough to dump Stanton. Hill is an upgrade at backup QB if only because he doesn't throw picks. He also doesn't throw the ball more than about 25 yards and still seems genuinely astonished that the other team is trying to hit him. At least he knows the offense from when he was with Linehan in Minnesota for years.

They brought in Okung Monday for a long interview, and they've got Derrick Morgan, Eric Berry, and Trent Williams all scheduled too.

FWIW it looks a whole lot like the Browns are in the market to move up to get ahead of WAS to get Jimmy Clausen. They happen to have 3 3rd rounders and 2 of the first 7 picks in the 5th. Just sayin'

I have no problem trading down at all in any scenario. Especially if Suh is gone but still. Cleveland would have to make a nice offer to move down to 7, but maybe we could steal 2 or 3 of the thirds. Or their second rounder.

At 7 we are looking at guys like who Ice listed: Morgan, Trent Williams, Joe Haden, Spiller, Davis or Campbell.

Interesting....

I'd want #7, their 2nd rounder, and their last 3rd rounder....
