Re: HKL Season 4 - draft done!
Wow, what a surprise, Jesus or sorry Jeter and dans team manage to be by far the best in his opinion. I as well got a 0 on my relief staff. that tells me they should not get 1 win the entire year and that according to dan I might as well just sit out the season cause my bullpen sucks so bad. I hope a demon comes out of the ground opening day in new york, Takes Jeter, rips his spine out and bludgeons the rest of the yankees with him then takes them all to a fiery bath. Then makes the rest of dans fantasy baseball team slump like the 1929 stock market with no rebound ever!!

Re: HKL Season 4 - draft done!
i understand there are some concerns, and i hope i can clarify some situations.
on the topic of 0 points for a closer role for example.
the Star review sections points are strictly based on players ranks in each positions. not production or performance. Jenks for example is a productive closer, and projects to have 33 saves this season. the criteria for points in the star review are (a top 10 closers - since there are 12 teams in the league, top 10 didn't seem like too little of a bar to set - and 35+ saves) for a max total of 10 points. since Jenks dosnt qualify for either of those specifications, no points were addressed. for that section.
a player like Jenks still has a important statistical impact on his drafted team with his projected numbers in the H2H section where more points are given out. a RP value comes in many shapes and sizes. contributing to overall totals in ERA/WHIP/Ks/SVs/WINs/Losses for potential point gain of 60.
so even tho in the star review where points are only attributed for the individual players overall rank, there is no question the RP position true value comes in the H2H stats where more points can be obtained.
secondly the dispute of the WHIP category
this situation became a bit tricky. what had happend was Type 1 had a total of 1.22. followed that by 4 teams who had 1.24 (MGD, Bronx, Imallia, Hoser) THEN another 2 teams with 1.26 (Raps50, Larry)
so technically all 7 of those teams qualified for top 3 scores of 10 points. but since there were 7 teams, and 70 points looking to be given out, i decided that there are 3 brackets for points and 3 groups of ties, so all 3 groups received designated points. type for 1st / MGD, Bronx, Imallia, Hoser second tier points, and Raps50 and Larry 3rd tier points.
seemed fair at the time - but apparently not.
SO if the teams in question feel that they were gipped points the rankings then follow suit like so, if everyone got 10 points for all the ties:
OVERALL SCORES:
1st-Bronx-210
2nd - Type1- 200
3rd - Gyro - 198
4th - Larry -195
5th - Estar - 177
6th- Raps50 - 162
7th - Wrecked 150
8th - MGD - 146
9th - Hoser - 135
10th - Albino - 134
11th _ Imallia - 122
12th - Olds - 112
curious enough, the standings remained the same....
Hopefully this clears a bit more up for everyone. this has been a draining experience, and i question if i will continue this in the future to be honest.
thank you for all your compliments so far, and i look forward to this years season!

incorrect. Type 1 would deserve top 1 score. MGD, Bronx, lmallia and Hoser would receive a 2nd place score. TR50 and Larry would receive a 6th place score
as well...aside from Rivera you do not have a "star" reliever. and Franklin is not considered to get 35+ in saves...in fact he isnt in most top 20 rankings

Re: HKL Season 4 - draft done!
having 3 RPs in the top 20 of yahoos rankings (#11,12 and 20) for RPs warrants a 5/20 ranking eh? weird
i thought i was pretty clear on the criteria for points in that section, and even on YOUR lists your RP dont rank in the top 10 to meet the criteria. what should should i have done, just give you the points??
no matter how you explain what you did man...I can tell personal feelings and vendettas were used.
cool dude. sorry.

Sweet, so where's my 15? Because I have the 6th ranked closer, so that's pretty good then? I dont know I'm new to this.

I don't care about the actual numbers and I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just think the 0 points thing is flawed. If Pujols was hurt this year and was outside the top 30 next year would you not assume he would return to being a monster for that following year? Or would you rate him as a 0?
I think you did a great job and put a lot into the reviews. I was simply pointing out something I would have done differently.

I made my own rankings:
#1 Jesus
#2 Mike
#3 Albinos
...there are no more rankings because nothing stacks up to the above.
Sorry kids, game over.

i missed a lot
honestly, looking at the teams before any reviews came in, i kinda felt like dan may have had the best team.. but its still funny to see him rank himself 1st, lol
that must have been a struggle
i will say that i think zeros given out are a bit weird, though it doesnt bother me
i knew my RP was weak which is why i took morrow and liriano in case they end up in the closing role at some point this year
but these rankings really mean nothing
they just serve as something fun to look back on once the year is done
and dan, you best be ready to do your year end reviews since you did them at the beginning!
thanks for all the effort, these were great reads

He had me finishing 7th, and I've already secured a playoff spot and have been top-2 all season, and wont finish beyond 4th.

Very similar to another event that occurs roughly every 26,000 years that we will experience in a couple of years...
