On all of your shooting stats you are excluding everyone who doesn't take more attemps than Rose? LOL

How is that ridiculous? I mean, sure I could have taken into account other players with lower volume of shots but it would be more appropriate to see where Rose ranked with the players that takes similar shot attempts as Rose.

How ridiculous is that when you are trying to tell us that Rose is a better midrange shooter than Nash for example.

I never said that. Nor implied it.

With any statistical outputs, you have to put it into context. Everyone would agree Nash is by far, the better shooter than Rose despite the stats shown.

Also your stats for 10 feet or closer must be terribly wrong, since Amare clearly shoots way better than 52% from within 10 feet as she shoots 55% overall. Lebron James sure as hell shoots better than that and Steve Nash too.

Let me look it up:

Shots taken within less than 10 feet away:

Amare: 52.6% (attempting 3.2 shots at that range)
LeBron: 52.2% (attempting 1.4 shots at that range)
Nash: 44.8% (attempting 1 shot at that range)

I don't see what's wrong about these stats. Rose has a higher % at that range:

Rose: 59.1% (attempting 2.1 shots at that range).

He is taking more shots at that range than the listed players with the exception of Amare.

......

I don't see why is this thread bumped. I know your history of Rose with the Bulls fans. It isn't receptive at all.

EDIT:

Nevermind, someone in the GB posted the link for this thread.

The stats are nice but rather irrelevant to my point.

I don't really care whether Rose is going to be one of the best POINT GUARDS for his career because I'd far rather have the guy who is obviously going to be one of the best PLAYERS for his career.

Oh and BTW, Evans against the DEFENDING CHAMPS the other night hanging one assist short of a triple double with Artest or Kobe guarding him the entire night - I don't really see Rose doing that because he isn't that guy.

@KF10:
ya, hes really not that receptive to any arguments tbh, theres nothing wrong in your analysis that i can possibly see because all the stats you put up were put into context accordingly. all posters (except for the very few) appreciate what you did with that analysis. would you be able to do an end of the year one for rose and tyreke? id love to see it.

@OGSactownballer:
nobody on earth can predict which players are going to turn into kobe's, lebron's, or wade's. For all we know, tyreke could turn into a terrible player on a playoff team, or he could turn into GOAT. Rose's play could fall through the floor, he could plateau off, or he could turn into a kobe, wade, or lebron category. you just cant predict anyone actually making it there, all you can do is randomly guess because players like those are incredibly rare. for lebron, kobe, or wade there are tons of tyrekes and roses.
