No Almond is a ...(insert corny joke)

Anyway...Morris Almond, by looking at his stats looks like an efficient scorer...shooting close to 50% career in the D-League...He averages only 1.5 assists per game careers so dont look for him to pass a lot, but he does seem like an efficient scorer and not a volume scorer.

Harris with 44 points last night, I wish we could have given him a serious game-time look.

To bad we didn't give him more of a look. Man, he leads a lot of categories. His rebounding for a 6-6 guy is amazing.

You know, getting to see some of these guys makes you realize how much group think there is in the NBA. How does someone like Fabio stick around when we know he has no upside when Im sure there are better options in the D League.

How could giving this guy a look be worse then rolling Fabs out when you know the guy is done?

Or one of these guys as a back up PG

It almost seems like a better idea to give lots of these guys a look instead of swinging for the fences by going FA and being locked in a bad contract. I'm sure some of these guys just need a legit chance.

We just might find our friend Mr Harris playing some place else before to long. Those are amazing numbers.

Harris doesn't shoot - so much as he throws the ball in the general vicinity of the basket.

Saunders didn't give him a chance! I wanted to see what the guy could bring to the table but he just wasn't given the chance. I'm convinced that Saunders isn't the coach for rebuilding a team. I know alot of you bashed Mike James but he was right when he said that the coach didn't know when to play the right players.

This franchise will not turn around if they continue to bring in players with injured knees! DC's fans are tired of being the laughing stock of the NBA!

They can always bring him back if they want... The Thunder called up Weaver 4 or 5 times this year

No offense to Harris, but Saunders didn't give him a chance because his game will simply never translate to the NBA.

Seriously, just go watch video of him. He has no jumper and relies on using his size against undersized defenders to get to the hoop 90% of the time.

Your point might hold water if Gee wasn't seeing time and actually impressing Flip, but he is.

The biggest problem for Harris is he's not a wing player and he lacks height. The Wizards have PFs who are young, athletic, and tall--plus Oberto.

I still think Harris will find a role in the NBA. He's a poor man's Larry Johnson (pre-injury).
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Kyle Weaver's actually a 1st round pick who they have under contract through next season.

Weaver BTW is a player I think would really fit at SG for the Wizards instead of Nick Young. He's capable of being a great defender and a facilitator.

Per the Wire tap article, Harris has been signed by Houston. I will follow Harris's numbers just out of curiosity, he never received the playing-time that Gee or Livingston have.

Return to Washington Wizards
