Is this why Ian doesn't play?

Post#1 » by clipocketurs » Sun Mar 21, 2010 9:20 am

In the summer, Popovich convinced the owner that McDeyss was a piece necessary for the championship. Pop thought Ian wasn't any good.

It turns out that Ian is better than McDeyss and that McDeyss was a $9 million mistake (including luxury tax).

Pop's decision to get McDeyss was a $9 million mistake but if Pop doesn't play Ian, then maybe the $9 million mistake won't be obvious to everyone, especially the owner.

You're joking right?

If Ian is that good, then it shouldn't be McDyess' minutes he's taking. He should be taking Bonner and Blair's minutes.

Pop has an unhealthy affection for vets, but I don't know if I buy this. It's not a stretch to consider Dice better than Mahinmi, so I couldn't blame Pop if he thought this.

Plus Dice is only $4.5M per.

He's 9 mil including luxury tax. Bottom line Mahamni has not panned out. He's big and athletic but still years away from being productive.

Dice has played terrible early in the year but seems to be warming up of late. No way Ian is a better player right now.
