Bynum Update
An MRI exam Saturday confirmed that Lakers center Andrew Bynum has a strained left Achilles' tendon and not a tear.

That was the good news.

Bynum could be out almost two weeks while he recovers from the injury he suffered Friday night.

That was the not-so-good news.

The Lakers said Bynum will be reevaluated in a week. But Bynum said he thought he would be examined again after the Lakers return home from an eight-day trip that will include five games beginning Wednesday and ending March 31.

Even though Bynum will miss at least six games, he was in high spirits after the Lakers practiced Saturday.

"Yeah, because I thought it would be worse," Bynum said. "Then they told me today it's not as bad.

"It definitely was a relief because we didn't find any tears. You never want to have that. I just have a lot of pain in that area. . . . I think I'll be all right, though. I should be good."

Wiz fan here. I think we have some ok matchups to give you guys some trouble but Flip's Offense has looked horrible all year so I doubt it. I really just want to see how Blatche plays. He's been a beast since the trades, he only had 2 poor games against the Bucks & Rockets which still werent horrible, but then against the Nuggz he sprained his ankle, and I told everyone that I bet he would suck in the next game and he did. I think the ankle hurt but wasnt that bad but mentally I knew that he would let it effect him. Both him & Arenas are like that. They are mentally strong about not really fearing anyone and going at everyone but when something goes wrong, they ease back and play like crap.

Thats why I want to see what he does this game. I could see him still sucking for this game and maybe a couple of more or I could see him play the opposite of last game and try to come out playing real hard which he hasnt been really doing lately even when he's beasting. Im not going to rip him though because I think he's fatigued from all the games the NBA piled on top of us in a short period, the big increase in minutes, the tough sked of all playoff teams, the huge role he now has to carry, and the constant double teams he's facing.

Seriously though, before last game I thought he was maybe the most exciting player in the league right now. The way he is crossing bigs over out on the floor, then following it up by doing all kind of spin moves & dunks on the block while making some guard like passes. He was scary good until last game and he's been doing it against some good bigs but even without Bynum, you guys could give him trouble with Odom, Gasol, and Artest will probably guard him some also. I could see him playing either way. I could see him sucking or getting into foul trouble trying to guard the lefty in Odom, the length of Gasol, and the strength of Artest, but I could also see him looking like an all around beast like he's been looking. Should be fun to watch.

PS- Dont talk trash to me about how you are going to kill us. Wiz fans dont want to win right now. We just want good losses where our young guys play well but lose late

I think we're going to kill the Wizards and make them wish they didn't even show up! They have no chance!

Nice GT Big Game !, was thrown off by the Wiz fan commentary post............this is just another game on a Sunday night. Who cares about the Wiz ?

Anyway just win the game, get ready for this rodie.........and get Drew back at least with a few games left to play.

If Powell can hit his jumpers and set screens like that every game, we'll be fine without Bynum for sometime.

Board's pretty quiet tonight. Laker's owning early.

Love the tempo LO brings to the starting line-up, his ability to rebound and push is unmatched.
Thank you, Phil.

Word...his 15-18 foot jumper is money. He and can Kobe can a run a nice little pick and pop along the baseline and he'll consistently get those open looks.
Thank you, Phil.

I come home and I see a big lead. I haven't seen one like this in a while. Better than the close games.
