The Bears signed former St. Louis defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy today. Kennedy has had an injury-plagued career and weight issues, but he appears to be in much better shape.

Kennedy was traded to Denver but was cut in training camp and hasn't played this season.

He was the Rams' top draft pick

I'd like to say "Nay" but its more like a "Meh." Btw, Lovie labeled him a BUST when he was a Def. Coordinator in St. Louis. It just goes to show how bad the season has gone. And it gives me more of a reason of disliking Lovie & Angelo.

Shows how much we suck, we're signing 5'10" white comedians to play aside Tommie Harris.

Look at the teams that cut him--Denver and St. Louis. Two of the worst, most desperate DLs in the league. This is nothing more than an injury desperation plug to get them thru the next 3 weeks.

I actually like Babatunde Oshinowo signing to the practice squad. He washed out in Cleveland because he reported fat and with a bad toe, but if he ever gets into good shape he's got a chance to be a solid DT rotation player. I have no idea what condition he's in now though.

Well, it's a move with no downside.

Angelo had to sign a warm body to play DT - may as well sign a warm body that has dominant potential (or did at one time).

Cliff Levingston went to high school with him. He grew up in Naperville and is a really nice guy.

Of course, this says nothing about his ability to play football.

Hopefully this means Harris will sit the rest of the year.
