Koufos playing well in D-League
Over the last three games.
15/7 with a block.
26/16 with 4 blocks.
20/12 with 2 blocks.
Makes me think that when he is only playing 2-3 minute intervals he struggles because he doesn't find the pace of the game. Once he settles in he can really play well, but with AK, Boozer, Millsap and Okur all able to play 30+ there just isn't a need for him to get extended minutes.
I still think he has a bright future, he just needs to develop a bit more. I'd hold onto him for a while.

He also loses out to Fes because Fes is bigger. I fully agree with your assessment Bat. His best games last season came as a starter or with extended minutes. This kids needs minutes and needs to get adjusted to the speed of the NBA. Its a shame that Kosta didnt get more time down in the D-league because he cant go down anymore. Hopefully Kosta can stay down there the rest of the season and have a good summer league and play with the Greek National team as well.

He is one of our offensively most skilled big men but sometimes plays soft. I like to see the blocks and boards. He will be a good player for the Jazz and probably a starter similar to an athletic Memo who doesnt rebound as well as Memo.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Koufos is a good player. He knows how to play. I want him to have more minutes but in nba i don't think he can achieve these numbers easily. Especially in jazz. Since there is millsap and boozer who can dominate the post offense, Koufos can only be a factor if Boozer leave the team. So i think his opponent not memo, but boozer.
Good Thing : Hedo Turkoglu is back in Magic.
Bad Thing : He plays terribly.
Bad Thing : He plays terribly.

Everytime the Jazz send Koufos to the D-League, somebody gets injured. Because of their penny pinching ways they don't sign a couple of players who could fill the roster when there are injuries. The Jazz will probably bring back Koufos to fill the roster, where he will rot on the bench, further hampering his development, instead of spending some money, which would let Koufos develop in the D-League.

I guess that the only way for Kosta to show his talents is to go away as fast as he can. Trying to convert him as the new Ostertag is not the answer. I would prefer to stick on what he can do rather what he cant, and the fact is that he has one of the best offensive skill set compared to the other ''only D no O'' C's that NBA is full of...When i heard that he was drafted from the Jazz i told to my self:Poor kid...what you have done so wrong to deserve this?

Eaton was pretty good, even under Sloan, in 1988-89 he averaged 10.3rpg and 3.8bpg. Anyways, Fes is doing alright as of late when he gets playing time, but he was pretty uneffective early in the season when he got garbage time. I really have begun to lose faith in Koufos, but hopefully he can prove me wrong.

I was being sarcastic.Should have done the green font. Okur made the all star game, Eaton was incredible for, I think it was a fourth round pick, and Ostertag played Shaq as well as anybody. There's no reason a seven footer with decent basketball IQ can't be successful on this team.

"Kosta Koufos didn't play for Flash in their late game last night against D-Fenders but Jazz have made no announcement about recalling him"
why else wouldn't he get PT down there? is he hurt?

What you mean like Okur? Koufos's offense has been consistently bad, though he hasn't had many real minutes. He's just wild and can't control his shots or his feet.

I had the chance to watch him last summer a lot with our NT, i dont know how is he now as its hard to catch any Jazz game.
From what ive seen his mid range shot is really nice, and has good running hook shot, and he was nice playing pick and roll/pop. He looked much bigger, but slower, so i guess bulking up wasnt that great idea after all. Also on D he was giving space to his opponent and he was trying to block him from behind, but he wasnt pushing them, so you can say that his D is bad, (but good blocker).
Anyway, i really want him to succeed there as is the only hope that we have as a nation to see someday one Greek being star there. (We produce good players, but not really athletic by the NBA stantards)
