Why Farmar sucks that much???

Post#1 » by KOBE_PAUER » Mon Mar 22, 2010 4:16 am

This guy is a great player with a great potential, but never steps up. He is a total failure, he should be playing as starter right now and old Fish is still over him.....Can Farmar be really important for us?? Or will be Failmar forever ????

Westbrook went 4th over all and Collison should have came out sooner. We draft low and that is the price of winning. I wish we could have traded up and got Collison. Lakers might have just sold his rights anyway.

Farmar is a victim of our system. He is not a triangle point guard by any stretch of the imagination. He needs to be in a situation that allows him to run and shoot like Golden State or Phoenix. In our system, he has to play half court offense and be a shooter, neither of which he is very good at.

+1

obviously when he goes for a career high night threads like this do not surface. Wrong system for him and lack of pt.

Jrue is tearing it up too

We got like the worst UCLA player lately period

Westbrook
Collison
Holliday
Love

Barnes (ass but he'd a hard working energy guy)

Farmar...

Problem isnt the system, yeah he wasn't a triangle PG to begin with, but he's had 3 freaking years to adjust and still hasn't...

Don;t blame it on the offense guys. Farmar's role is limited to playing pick n rolls, making entry passes and attacking the rim every once in a while. The 2nd unit guys can play uptempo if they want to but they rarely ever do it right.

Good point. Farmar would probably be perfect as a backup to Curry in G.S. or Nash in Phoenix. He would probably average more turnovers than assists but in return could provide 6th man of the year type scoring off the bench.

just look at what happened to artest in this system..hes basically a spot up shooter. During what time did the tri offense have a super pg?(kerr, harper i dont think so) thats right we dont need a elite pg. failmar will flourish in a uptempo style.

I am not laying the blame entirely on the system, but it is a big part of the problem for Farmar. Remember two years ago, when our bench was the best in the league, they played great uptempo game with Farmar leading the helm. Then, for some reason, PJ wants everyone to slow things down and play half court every possession and that's when our bench, especially Farmar lost their game. If you look at it, our bench personnel hasn't changed that much in two years but we went from one of the best benches in the game to one of the worst benches we have ever seen.

His failure to adjust to the triangle is strictly on him. Any P/G has and should have the ability to adapt to a any teams offense. If he cant then thats not our fault. Blowing open layups or his shooting cant be blamed on the triangle now, can it. He lacks heart and dedication and he isnt a team player.

The triangle is made for good one on one players or spot up shooters. Farmar is a quick pick and roll guy, it doesn't work well with the Laks offense.

We lost Ronnie Turiaf, and sasha is no longer in a contract year. That's what happened. we also had ariza on the bench...

It's his blind spot, all he sees with his peripheral vision is obstructed by his Dumbos. I shouldn't tease about his physical appearance it's not nice, but if I was in his position I would think he would look into surgery.
