And along the way to the Final Four, Turner posted crazy numbers, like almost triple-double numbers every game (which is not impossible), and then Wall posted the same numbers he's been doing all year, or maybe performing less but more from his teammates, specifically Cousins...

Now, the question would be... Who is your top choice now? Would you still pick Wall number 1 assuming we're picking first? Would you consider Turner now as the top choice?

Im guessing most of you will still pick Wall and his potential. I can see that crazy potential in him but i'd rather have the potential of a taller guy playing different positions. Turner is more experienced and with that experience, you can say that he'd gotten better and actually surpassed the expectations on him. Meaning, there's a lot less chances that he will turn out to be a bust, and i think the question about him would be more like, if he can become a superstar or just an allstar.

Im not knocking on Wall but what im trying to say is... I'd rather have (as a comparison) a Melo than CP3. Just like what vincecarter4prez have said, historically, only a few great PG's have won championships, it has always been a great SG/SF/C. Just look at the Celtics, Lakers, Cavaliers contending and Denver. Then, check the Suns, Hornets and the Jazz, still far away from that level.

I still take Wall and I strongly disagree with your Melo vs CP3 comparison. Let' not forget Melo does play with a top 5 PG.

I'm sorry, but your comment I bolded is just half-baked. Denver and Boston have all-star PGs. In addition, Utah has just one less loss than Denver/Boston so the idea that they are contenders, yet the Jazz aren't is nonsense IMO.

I understand VCP said about PG and titles historically. I think it's a little misleading. I don't think it's as much strength at one particular position vs. another, but having a guy that is a legit top 5 player period. Other than the the recent Pistons team, who was the last team to win a title without having one of the game's top 5 players?

Evan Turner just sealed it for me with that butter beazer against Michigan: I want him in the draft.

Hey guys, I got a question. How good is John Wall? I always wonder this because everyone hype this guy up like he is the next Lebron. However, when you look around the Internet for his scouting report, he is always compared to at best Derrick Rose. Derrick Rose is good and all but, he isn't that amazing where you can call him a superstar(Yet). Also, Derrick Rose is just a sophomore in the NBA. Usually, #1 picks are compared to superstars like Derrick Rose=Kidd/Wade, Oden=David Robinson, etc. Anyway, I don't watch NCAA (even though I hear it is better than NBA). So I can't make any judgements for him.

Can this guy really turn a team like us around?

Two man draft really. Two clear cut franchise level player. Lets hope that Nets doesn't get that 3-4th pick.
1a John Wall (LeBron Lite)
1b Evan Turner (Roy on Crack)

Just look at this mock; http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2010/
3-17 place are all PF/C.

Ok, I've made up my mind.
Of course getting either the #1 or #2 is the ideal situation. I no longer feel that is the only option, that its 1-2 or bust. Greg Monroe is the guy that I want if we don't end up with the 1 or 2. He is the IDEAL PF to put next to Brook IMO. I don't care if he would be seen as picked too high, because he is the top PF fit for our team. I cannot see Cousins as a fit next to Brook and Favors wouldn't be bad, because of his potential, but he's still a project.

Ok I was watching the GA Tech game yesterday and I'm so excited for the draft haha. Favors is over Monroe right now. But we are in a great position in the draft when you think about it.
Obviously the 1 or 2 pick would be great, getting Wall or Turner. But worst case scenarios we can still get great picks at 3 or for. for me the draft goes

1) Wall
2) Turner
3) Favors
4) Monroe

If we land the 3rd or 4th pick and I pray to God that doesn't happen...we should take Favors. I think a combo of him and Brook could work and I love his attitude. He has elite level athleticism and he would help with the rebounding and defense. Not to mention his potential.

Assuming we get the 4th pick and Favors is gone with the 3rd then I'll do the best player available option and take Cousins. Even if him and Brook don't make a good pair.

Do you guys think Lopez and Cousins could co-exist?
We would probably have Cousins as our C and slide Lopez to the 4, but do you think that a front-court tandem of the 2 could work? It would be nice to set our frontcourt for years. The only thing I'm skeptical of is that I view them both as Centers in the league, and I'm not sure how either could do manning the 4.

Offensively Lopez seems to make sense at the 4 with his jumper, but defensively I'd be concerned with him having to guard the likes of someone as quick and explosive like Josh Smith.

I don't like the prospect of Cousins/Lopez. I much, much prefer Favors/Lopez, or Monroe/Lopez, though Monroe just came out and said he might be staying next year.

Best case scenario:

We get either Wall or Turner.
And then in 2011, we get Monroe.

Enough of Wall, Turner, Favors, Cousins and Monroe...

I'd pick Ali Farokhmanesh with our number 1 pick!!!!

Lucky shot.

You know i was just kidding right?

I was just excited to witness a huge upset because many fans had Kansas as the champions this year including the President.

I know you dont like Farokhmanesh but he is a big part of their success. And i dont think it was a lucky shot either because he just did it two consecutive big games.

However, i dont think he's getting drafted anyways. He can, but it's a long shot.

How about Omar Samhan? He seemed like he's got some potential... He got some moves and sweet touch around the basket. Anyone?

Um, yeah. Why wouldn't know you were kidding? I don't hate the kid, maybe dislike him, but I don't know him personally, so why would I hate? See, I was kidding too.

Could care less that the President had Kansas. Look at his bracket, he's a front runner.

No, he didn't. He hit a shot at [nearly] the buzzer against UNLV. The Kansas shot was a wide open shot with twenty seconds left when they were still ahead. Not nearly the same amount of pressure between the two, though perhaps Kansas being the overall number one does add some pressure to it.

However, i dont think he's getting drafted anyways. He can, but it's a long shot.

No, he won't. He's undersized, not especially athletic. He's a D-league player.

He's goot good size and touch, along with great offensive moves, but...that's all he has. He's not athletic, he's nearly a liability on defense, he doesn't have any rotations on the defensive end. He's a second round pick, he'll probably go over to Europe.

Are you even serious with that. They were up 1 with 30 seconds left on the shot-clock. I'd say that's pretty ballsy. Quit hatin just cuz he prolly **** over your bracket

Swing and a miss. I had Kansas losing that game, albeit to UNLV and not Northern Iowa. :D

Honestly though, hitting a game winner is different than hitting a game clincher, hence me saying they were different. The UNLV shot was more impressive because it was from deep, though he does have balls for taking the Kansas shot since he could have just dribbled more time off of the clock.

PS: other than both his and Samhan's draft stock, everything I said was more of a joke than me actually being serious.

Draft John Wall
Trade Dallas's and a future pick and an expiring...trade up and take Patrick Patterson
Draft Vazquez to be our Manu Ginobili off the bench for the next decade

All these guys are solid. I've been a fan of Patterson since high school and think he's honestly the best big man we could realistically trade up to get in the draft, but on top of that I think he'd play better next to Brook than ANY of the other lottery power forwards.

Grevis, 90% of the country hates him, but if he's on your team...you love him. He's our back up PG that can play the 2. He's gonna be a Manu and has incredible leadership.

Honestly out of all players in college basketball we can get at our picks, these only guys I want. I am probably Evan Turner's #2 fan, but I'm leaving him out because I'm almost positive if we land the #1 pick, we're taking Wall unless John makes it rain in a club between now and draft night.

Ok i'm done rambling. I haven't posted in a while and I"m in class wasting time. Hope everyone is good.

Anyone else have this feeling that if we don´t land the #1 pick you´ll be extremely pissed? I want John Wall.... That´s that. Turner is a poor mans Brandon Roy, there are way too many bigs we can either trade up for or land with the dallas pick.

The only way to turn this crap around is to land John Wall.

Let the bashing begin.

I'm fine with Wall or Turner if the Nets get the 3rd or 4th pick I will be disappointed but it's not the end of the world... Guys like Cousins, Favors, and Wes Johnson (if the Nets trade down) are still appealing to me...

We need a franchise player. It's as simple as that. Favors, Cousins, or Johnson are not franchise guys in my opinion. Turner and Wall are.

Mark my words, Turner is not a franchise player. Might be borderline all-star in the future but I will not be satisfied with that, I WANT WALL DAMN IT.
